Chocolate Factory Lofts

I’ve been living in the building for just over a year now and wanted to write a review as I’m renewing my lease next month. The apartments are some of the most spacious in Brooklyn and the management has notably improved. We had an issue with the heat a couple months ago but new management was highly responsive and took care of it quickly!

Avoid this place at all costs. This is a bad building with deceitful landlords. You might see a review by a John Taylor saying a fantastic new landlord has bought this place, and will be fixing its issues. That person works for Thor Equities, the new landlord. When I first moved in here, I was told by the person who toured me around that a new landlord had recently come into possession of this building, and improvements would be made when I moved in. Things only got worse. My apartment is damaged in innumerable ways. One of the issues nearly killed me and no one ever seemed to care. The process to get anything fixed takes months at least, if issues are resolved at all. Be fully prepared for a damaged and decrepit building with unresponsive landlords if you choose to move in here. Frankly, I'm begging you not to move into this place for your own sake. These people will try to screw you as certainly as they've screwed me.

Great place to live! High ceilings, modern finishes, and super responsive management. The building is well-kept, and the quiet street is a nice bonus.
