Great place to stop in for bakery, brunch, breakfast, diner or comfort food while in New Haven. A great team who is really committed to the mission from counter staff to servers. Huge range of options for vegan and gluten free items across the whole menu. Wide range of coffees and teas as well. Big enough that one could come with kids and a stroller (might be a little crowded on a Sunday though) or by oneself and eat at the counter. We only ate savory which was delicious - classic grilled cheese - but the sweet items will be in our list for next time. Clean, well-lit and welcoming environment.

Did not like the gluten free pizza. Super expensive (+$7) and not very good. Very sweet and dense, not like traditional pizza dough (I have had a lot of GF pizza, this didn’t rank up with the best). I got the Rosemary pizza and it was super dry with almost no cheese. Ingredients were not very well distributed. My family liked their pizzas, but be aware the GF option is great to have but might not satisfy.

The have a gluten free Injera option. I think it is called “black” when served gluten-free. Based on the servers explanation, this seems to be the preferred method as it tears easier. I have never had Ethiopian food. I was really really impressed with the flavors. This restaurant has set the bar high. I would definitely come again if I am in the area!

I’m a little obsessed with Mecha. I’m gluten-free so I’ve only had the Pho with beef options. So fresh and delicious and warming. Quick and friendly service, perfect for solo lunching
