The Hungry Tapir in KL exceeded all expectations! As someone who enjoys meat, I was initially unsure about a fully plant-based restaurant. However, their Nasi Lemak and Miso Ramen were absolutely divine. The Nasi Lemak was a flavour explosion, with fragrant rice and a rich, complex sambal. Honestly, I didn't miss the meat at all! The Miso Ramen was equally impressive, a comforting and umami-rich broth with perfectly cooked noodles. What really made the experience special was the amazing service. We needed gluten-free options, and the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They patiently guided us through the menu, explaining ingredients and suggesting modifications. Their attentiveness made us feel so welcome. The Hungry Tapir proves that plant-based food can be exciting and delicious. It's not just about substitutes; it's about creating incredible dishes that stand on their own. Highly recommend checking it out, even if you're not vegetarian or vegan. You won't be disappointed!
