I love shrimp and grits. Since moving to the DC area from the Gulf of Mexico coast 15+ years ago, I've had it many times. However, it's only been good twice. Jula's/Cafe 44 is the second time in 15 years I've had good shrimp and grits in this area. Great service, great views, great food. Gluten-free items are marked on the menu.

Wonderful Dinner night out!!! It was restaurant week, and super busy, but our server Nev was incredible!!! She gave us great drink recommendations, and walked us through the dinner menu. I was recently diagnosed with celiac disease and have to be very careful when dining out to avoid all gluten. Nev made sure to make extra notes on my order and ensured me the things I was ordering were safe for me. The food was phenomenal, and the drinks too!!!! We cannot wait to come back for another date night!!!

Delicious food with many options. Whether you're looking for a quick bite, a fun chat, or something to save dinner when you've gone and burned it yourself (as we have several times!), this is the place to go! It's hard to stand out in a block with so many good places to eat, but this is a definite must! We cannot praise this establishment enough! Gluten free friendly as well!
