We stopped here for lunch after visiting the Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Overall, we enjoyed eating out at this restaurant. The employees were welcoming and made sure we were satisfied with our food choices. Veggie burgers and gluten free options are available. We loved the coleslaw……delicious!!
I need to rave about my spectacular experience at Village Bar & Grill. Initially what drew me to the restaurant was their menu! I could eat most of their menu, but their mixed game burger caught my eye and I had to try it. Upon walking in, reception was friendly and asked if we wanted to sit in the bar or restaurant. We said restaurant and were seated promptly. Upon seating we were greeted by server Ryan S. whose friendliness and positive energy set the tone for a fun, relaxing meal. We got iced tea (one flavored, one regular). Nice, flavorful, and not too sweet. My husband got the braised short rib ragu and I got the mixed game burger with a side salad on a gluten free bun. (I’m gluten free by preference.) I was impressed with Ryan and the cooks attention to detail. He let me know that the burger had some gluten with the onion rings and asked if I wanted croutons. The onion rings for the burger came out on a separate plate. I appreciate the care they put into allergy awareness. The Ragu was so good, rich deep flavor and the bread was crisp. My side salad was yummy, fresh and crunchy and the burger….wow! Great mix of flavors with the sauce and meat. We can’t wait to come back again and try more menu items! My compliments to the cooks, Ryan and the rest of the staff. Great food, service and atmosphere. Will come again! A+++++
Yumm! This upscale restaurant in the village is delicious. Eating in the winter the place fills up quickly as it’s a small place. The food was amazing and the service was even better. A ton of gluten free options.
First time eaters, will return! Appreciated Zorba the Greeks customer service, gyros were delish, and the plate option very much appreciated by hungry teen! The real winner for our family was a gluten free option. The 6 yr old gf (must have) eater loved all of the flavors and especially happy to be able to partake as the rest of the family with a gf option. Many thanks to Zorba the Greek for having a gluten free option! We’ll be back!
I’m gluten free and when I find a deli that has great sandwiches AND offers GF bread, I get excited. This place did not disappoint. One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in my 6 years of being gluten free. Would definitely visit again.
We were served by Sandy and she was just lovely. The food was delicious. They even made me gluten free pancakes which was a real treat. The atmosphere is breathtaking- especially for the sunrise.
