We decided to go for the two most decadent sounding appetizers. Both the Krab Fries and Fried Green Tomatoes were not only amazing, not only vegan but also GLUTEN FREE. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly crisp, and the accompanying sauces and garnish were heavenly. The KRAB FRIES 🤤🤤🤤🤤🥲 literally brought a tear to my eye. I don't know what is in that cream sauce, but it tastes like the fanciest seafood chowder and really makes the dish. After devouring the generously portioned noshes, we decided to order the polenta grits and cheesecake to-go. Both were wonderful, and we will definitely return.

I drive by Batuqui all the time and had kind of written it off assuming they wouldn’t really have anything good for a gluten free vegetarian. While looking through DoorDash tonight, I noticed that they had multiple delicious looking options that were labeled GF/vegetarian/vegan/dairy free/etc! I ordered and ended up getting someone else’s order. While I realize that this was likely the restaurant’s fault, DoorDash is supposed to fix these problems. However, after trying to resolve the issue through DoorDash to no avail, I called the restaurant. Gabriella took no time at all to come up with a few solutions to my issue. Ultimately, I really wanted my order, but I couldn’t get to the restaurant to pick it up, so she arranged to have it delivered. Amazing customer service.
The food is also delicious. Definitely recommend the Moqueca Baiana stew. My husband loved the Churrasco Gaucho. Since we got someone else’s order, he also tried the Stroganoff which he said was great as well. Bon bons - two thumbs up.
Definitely look forward to eating at the restaurant one day soon!
