I was so excited to try Colonia Verde but sadly left very disappointed. While most of the menu is marked gluten free, for some reason they use a shared fryer.
The place is beautiful, but the food is just OK. I had the mushroom tacos and the picanha, and to be honest they were just fine. Our waiter seemed a little confused around what was safe for celiac or not, which again was just disappointing given how well the menu is marked!

I have Celiac disease. This place has been life changing, they’re so knowledgeable of food allergies and able to accommodate anything. The food is tremendous on top of it. Cannot recommend enough.
Awesome place!.... Food was delicious, fresh and served with a smile. High quality ingredients. Great gluten free options. Worth visiting. A good find.
Meat eater here! I don’t usually go looking for vegan food but the gluten free bun on this menu caught my eye. After talking with the cashier, a bright person with a friendly demeanor named Khyla, I was sold on the burger. Khyla gave me complete confidence that I not only won’t be “glutened” but would love the food. The vegan burger resembled beef in texture but had a new and distinct flavor that I really enjoyed. With gluten transparency highlighted on the menu this is a safe space to enjoy tasty fast food. 10 out of 10.
Coming here is so nice for an easy lunch or dinner when you don't feel like cooking or you're on the go. Im gluten free and their gluten free pasta is pretty good. For people who can eat gluten they even have free bread. I like seeing all the fresh pasta and I need them to have soup all the time, not just in the cold months.
Called to make sure they had Gluten Free bagels, very courteous. They had plain and everything gluten-free.
Upon arrival they were very helpful with a first timer. Paid $16 for a gf lox deluxe bagel sandwich, not bad considering it was house made, gourmet and only could eat half, cos it was massive. Also had the popular bacon, egg, cheese on a gf everything bagel sandwich, $12.
Will come back for sure.
This is a lovely neighborhood spot with excellent food and cocktails in a beautifully designed cozy interior. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. The gluten free pizza option is great and the saffron risotto is delicious. Ingredients are obviously fresh and high quality through out. Highly recommend!
It's hard to find a restaurant that is reliably excellent, especially with great ambience. My husband and I come probably once every month or two. Nearly every dish we've ever had has been absolutely delicious. Nothing has been bad. The menu changes, but at the moment the artichoke salad and the beet salad are fantastic. The pappardelle with oxtail ragu is excellent. They have gluten free pasta and understand cross-contamination - I have celiac disease and have never felt sick after eating here. The butterscotch budino is one of my favorite desserts out there. We are never disappointed and sometimes blown away. Fun cocktails, too - I love the Eleanor.
The ambience is so pleasant. They did a great job curating it. I also appreciate that they keep some tables open for neighborhood walk-ins. It keeps the vibe local and I love that if we get there on the early side we can just eat a nice meal on a Friday night without a reservation.
This place was charming. Recommended by a local friend. The good was delicious. They were able to inform me what options were gluten free. Highly recommend.
Fun, lively spot with great food; has gluten free options.
You order via a screen and pick up your food at the counter shortly after.
Very close to a subway spot and close to other social spots in the neighborhood.
Food was SOOOOO GOOD! I will dream of the gnocchi forever.
I planned a large group dinner (15 people) and reserved the private space upstairs. The entirety of planning was so seamless. They worked with me on some dietary restrictions (some gluten intolerance at a pasta restaurant was a risk) but all of their recommendations were so good! We had assorted crostini, Caesar salad, gluten free rigatoni siciliana (it was with the GF penne and honestly no one could even tell that it was GF), spinach gnocchi pomodoro (EVERYONE’S favorite WOW it was so pillowy and delicious), and assorted desserts all of which were fantastic. We had 1 waitress for the group for all of the drink orders which worked out nicely, and she let us play our own music and everything.
Again - whole planning process was seamless, dinner itself was seamless and the food was fantastic.
Came for dinner and I had no expectations because I honestly never even heard of this restaurant and was absolutely blown away. The vibes, food, and waitstaff were chefs kiss.
Hannah, who took care of us for the night, was fantastic. Super warm, friendly, and knowledgeable of the entire menu. One of us had a gluten allergy and Hannah walked us through all the different dishes that contained gluten and offered substitutes. Her recommendations was top notch and we loved every dish we got! Huge shoutout to her!
The standouts of the night were the wood fired greens, whipped ricotta, red snapper ceviche, swordfish belly skewer, and the special of the night — a hiramasa collar.
To end the meal, we got the chocolate cake, lemon posset, and cheesecake (all gf!). Loved them all but the most surprising was the lemon posset - so refreshing and melted in your mouth.
Will definitely want to visit again!
