we are from out of town, so finding a place with gluten free options was something surprising to see in a smaller town. the workers and customer service was amazing. After ordering my gluten free meal and starting to eat it, i felt as though it wasn’t gluten free. After tripple checking that it was gluten free, we came to the conclusion that the gluten free and non-gluten-free bread was the problem. maybe stale? who knows. great people but food wasn’t impressive.

We stopped at the Driftwood for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was creative and really good. I had the peach flatbread and would highly recommend. They had many vegan and gluten free options as well.

They offer gluten-free buns, their Eh!burger is excellent, and their fries are fried separately, so a celiac like me could eat here! Very happy after a 10-mile hike on the cliffs of Pictured Rocks!

Sam was a delight and so accommodating to my wife’s gluten allergy. All of his fried fish is GF. By the way, his location has moved to the Midway General Store. It is a 15 minute drive from the location posted in Google, but definitely worth it.
