What a lovely place! We popped in for a light lunch today - welcomed warmly by all the staff. Varied menu on offer with lots of delicious looking specials in addition. I'm coeliac so always a little nervous about being 'glutened' but the guys here knew their product well, a variety of GF breads available, apple cake was lush too. I had a very tasty red pepper, tomato and chickpea soup - lovely spicy bite to it! Mam and dad both had toasties with a lovely looking and generous salad and crisps accompanying. Mam had the GF seeded bread toastie - really enjoyed. Dog friendly too, so great for walkers. This café is a real find. They definitely go above and beyond, hope they do well.

Everything on the menu is gluten free which was a revelation for my husband who has coeliac disease. Also good vegetarian options for me. The food was excellent and service was really friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. We will return.

We visited as a group of 9 plus dog for Sunday lunch while staying in the area. We booked ahead & the person we spoke to was really helpful including providing information on the gluten-free options for our friend who is coeliac. On the day we had a lovely table in a quiet corner. The staff were friendly, helpful & attentive. Sunday lunches were outstanding - all 3 courses were fab. The veggies in our group were very impressed with the pie - mushroom, root veg & ale. Highly recommended, it was a highlight of our visit to the area.

This could not have been a more perfect discovery...3 minutes off the motorway and it feels like countryside. Superbly welcoming, and easily able to cater for dietary requirements - we had a coeliac in our party. Beautiful home cooked food and local produce, all reasonably priced.
