We had afternoon tea, I had gluten-free, It was excellent. Two lovely ladies looked after us. Would definitely go back.

Charming café by the river with delicious snacks and great coffee, perfect for a cozy break after exploring the scenic Lydney docks.
Excellent little coffee shop next to the river Severn Lydney lock. Friendly staff, small snack menu with gluten free options including my wife's best ever gf carrot cake which they make themselves . Great coffee with outside picnic tables and lovely views.

I needed to find a place for lunch which would be about the same distance for my cousin in Wales and myself in Cheltenham. Lydney was a suitable distance and read the reviews for The Miner's Arms and I'm SO pleased I did. What an absolutely fabulous place it is. An excellent friendly welcome when I arrived Clean, comfortable and a great choice of trad ales. Plenty of dishes from which to choose which include vegetarian and gluten free and also lots of meat dishes for the carnivores too! It will definitely be the place we will go to every time we want to meet up. In fact...I can hardly wait to go there again.
