Eliane of Hungerford, located at The Courtyard, 24 High St, Hungerford RG17 0NF, is a culinary gem that offers a diverse and delectable menu catering to various dietary preferences, including gluten-free and vegetarian options.  During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying the chicken medley and the eggs Benedict. The chicken medley was a harmonious blend of flavors, with tender, juicy pieces of chicken complemented by a medley of fresh, vibrant vegetables. Each bite was a testament to the chef’s dedication to quality and taste. The eggs Benedict was equally impressive. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, with yolks that oozed delightfully over the succulent chicken and toasted English muffin. The hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy, tying the dish together beautifully. Beyond these standout dishes, Eliane’s commitment to healthy and organic ingredients is evident throughout their menu. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for both casual meals and special occasions. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall dining experience. For those seeking a restaurant that combines delicious food with a health-conscious approach, Eliane of Hungerford is a must-visit. Their innovative dishes and dedication to accommodating various dietary needs set them apart in the Hungerford dining scene.

I didn't know what to expect from what I could find out online, but I very much enjoyed my visit to The Tutti Pole. The easiest way to describe it would be to imagine a 1990s cafe that has continued to thrive 30 years later. They have an extensive menu of reasonable and varied cafe style meals, as well as sandwiches etc. but with modern updates, such as the availability of gluten free options (I particularly appreciated them using a separate fryer) and more of a range of drinks e.g. mint hot chocolate, sparkling ginger drink. They also had a nice mixed array of puddings and home made bakes etc. Portion sizes were generous (puddings were enormous!) and we all enjoyed our meals. The food was prepared very quickly and the waiting staff were efficient. The only two minor criticisms would be that the food was a little cheap and you could tell this from the taste of some aspects of the cooked meals (kid's sausages and the peas were most obvious), and at times the service was a little inattentive. However, these are minor negatives in what was overall a lovely meal. The chips were fantastic and the puddings were glorious. I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

Went there for lunch and had the gluten free pizza and potato chips (crisps) which were also gluten free. Pizza was a bit dry but I did not have a reaction. The chips were great. Wonderful atmosphere and helpful staff.

Fabulous food and great, friendly service-we will definitely come here again. Gluten free pasta dish was outstanding! Just a shame the delicious tiramisu didn’t have any booze!!
