Lovely pub in a great position. Went there for Monday lunch, they were still serving good despite it being mid afternoon when we arrived. Service was quick and friendly and the food and drinks were good quality and very good value for money. They had a gluten free (NGI) menu as well as a vegan one, both of which had multiple options to choose from. A great little pub to walk to, with wonderful views. Also had some outside seating which I imagine it's wonderful to sit at in the summer. Also had parking.

A medical appointment found me in the vicinity and what a wonderful place. I am gluten and lactose free. Wow you served me well brilliantly fresh cooked food, with a very pleasing bill at the end of it. We will be back. Cocktails -3 courses -coffee - liqueur at less than £60pp - what’s not to like.

My mum is gluten free so we went here for pizza as they say they cater to people who are gluten intolerant however when my mum asked for what she could have they asked her what pizza she may want then came back and only gave her one pizza that had toppings that would be ok for her to have also it is a premade base that they use for the gluten free pizza. Also they treated my mum like she was being alot of hassle asking about the gluten free options if you say you help with dietary requirements please don't make people feel like they are too much effort when they ask questions about it.

I absolutely love the bake house. No matter how busy it is, the staff are always so friendly and treat you like family. They always let you know that you've been seen and are welcome, and will give you a guesstimate of how long until you get served.
The bakes are incredible and it's so good to see properly packaged gluten free goods available a lot of the time too.
I don't get in nearly as much as I would like but it's always the first place we go to for coffee and cake in town and I recommend them to everyone if they're going into Halifax.

I would have given a 4 if it wasn't for the customer service. I'm coeliac so eating out for me is more of a chore, finding food is hard and with the limited choice on the menu as most places I struggled to find something I could eat. Our servers were amazing, one in particular went above and beyond to help me, instead of me having a sandwich whilst everyone else had a meal, she went out of her way and found an alternative before my food was made and came back to offer me a dish which they could put together for me. Made my day! Thanks to Emily!!
