The best fish and chips in the world on Mondays and Tuesdays they do gluten-free and on those days it is all anyone gets because they make the chips in a separate fryer and batter the fish in a separate fryer too 🐟🍟

I met with a group of friends and had a great meal a week ago. My friend had the steak on the specials board and said it was great (looked great!). Additionally, we ordered a couple of pizzas and a risotto. My Carni Amori pizza was delicious. I recommend the stag for a chilled evening with friends. The service was fab; all were attentive and did very well to cater to a vegan and a celiac, who were both made to feel comfortable and safe when ordering. Special mention to our waitress, Sianade, who was a breath of fresh air. 10% Service is included in the bill.

Despite it being busy, we were seated quickly and our server, Charlotte, was really friendly, helpful, and especially knowledgable about the gluten free options. Sunday roasts were up to the usual excellent Vintage Inns standard and it’s not the cheapest, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Service was very slow despite only having a handful of tables to serve. Not much choice if you need gluten-free - no gf potatoes of any type, just salad. It's quite expensive for what you get, but the burgers are cooked to your liking, which is a positive.
