We had a lovely meal here. It is on the square which was quiet on a Sunday evening. There is seating inside and out, and inbetween? Gluten free and vegan options galore and I recomend the Beef Chilli which was really spicy. The service was great too, but why do restaurants insist on ordering at the bar for the first time when the servers look after you at the table subsequently.

So, myself and my brother went here for lunch. The menu was good and as I'm gluten free, I was pleased to see that had a GF menu. Pretty good choice on the GF menu too. The food was well presented and very tasty. The servi e was a bit meh. The guy that I spoke to behind the bar a few times was speaking so fast, that it was a) difficult to understand, b) too quick to take in the info. He also insisted on walking by at the bar and would ask how he could help from the till position, which was all a bit odd. The servers were OK though and polite. Would I go back. Yep.

I’m coeliac and have had a reaction here before. The vegan sausage labelled on the menu as gluten free was not. This was double checked with staff too. This did happen in 2023 but obviously this has really put me off. They offer gluten free options like cake etc. I’d like to think this was a one off and it was early on during a change in management but still not good enough for a coeliac to risk.

Recently went to The Shack had lovely food, good quality chicken burger, a gluten free bun and topped with vegan cheese they catered for my intolerance and were very attentive. Thank you Ash for going the extra mile for my friend too. I would highly recommend we will be back.
