Gluten free, dairy free pizza? Count us in! Our server was helpful in figuring out which pizza toppings would be okay for our dietary restrictions. We went with the Bishop and the Charcuterie pizzas, both of which were fantastic. They also have gluten free wraps and crackers to sub for sandwiches and appetizers with bread. We were sat at the windows facing Front Street, so people watching was fun. However, surrounded by other tables/ other people in our little corner the noise level got really loud.

Someone bought mom and pops breakfast place and turned it into another overpriced restaurant. I have a few bad things to say about this place, but I suppose I should start with the food. My husband and I are both celiac, we are used to restaurants not being able to accommodate us, and we always call before hand, ask if they can accommodate and ask if reservations are needed. We were told that yes they could accommodate, the manager even had celiac, and we did not need reservations. So we showed up at 5:30, right when they opened to make things easier for them. We ordered the fruit and cheese appetizer, soup, lamb and seared tuna. And we got ‘glutened’ as us celiacs call it. We have been to many restaurants before that take great care when they say they can accommodate allergies, this was not one of those restaurants. On top of getting glutened, the seared tuna was horribly paired with a chili yogurt sauce, my husbands lamb was ordered medium, and every slice was cooked differently (rare, med rare, med, well done) and it had a very strange blend of flavors to ‘compliment’ it. Chili sauce, mint, cheese, and capers. Also, I don’t think they could fit more tables in there if they tried. It quickly filled up after we arrived at 5:30, and by 6:15pm we had to squeeze our way out of the restaurant after paying the bill. We asked for the bill and left in a hurry after the woman seated at the very close (2 ft away) table next to us said ‘do you know what it smells like in here? Vomit’

Thanks to getting a last minute babysitter, we rode into Beaufort and looked for a nice dinner. The gluten free options on the menu drew us in and we walked in and were seated at the bar. Bar seating was tight but cozy and the bartender was super friendly and especially helpful with the menu. We ordered two tapas and two small plates for the two of us. The duck wings drumettes were fantastic and the shrimp and grits were some of the best I've had. Our 'small plates' were the local catch (grouper) and the GF crab cake. Both were on on point, but the grouper was just out of this world! Topped it all off with the dessert sampler and it made for a great night out with my sweetie. We will return!

HOLY COW - Hands down some of the best Mexican food/drinks/service I’ve had in NC! Roosevelt was our bartender/server. Thank you. Hubby is Gluten-free so great options. We had the Steak tacos, fajitas, and that huge top shelf (1800) fresh made skinny Margarita w/ fresh lime was only $12!!!
