My wife and I were visiting the area and stopped in at Simply Crepes for a late lunch. My wife had the goat cheese and arugula crepe which she loved as absolutely delicious. I had a gluten free egg and sausage buckwheat crepe which was cooked perfectly and really hit the spot. The unlimited Jamaican coffee was very tasty. The extremely nice and efficient waitress made it a perfect experience. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bee Hive Brew Pub, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The food, atmosphere, and service all combined to make it a memorable visit.
The culinary journey began with the Pepper Bites, and they were nothing short of excellent. The perfect blend of flavors and textures made them a true appetizer to die for. Following that, the Chicken and Waffles dish showcased a harmonious combination of savory and sweet, earning its place as a standout on the menu.
What impressed me further was the availability of gluten-free options, particularly the pizza. It's always refreshing to see a restaurant catering to various dietary needs without compromising on taste. The Gluten-Free pizza at Bee Hive Brew Pub was not only a thoughtful inclusion but also a delicious one.
For those seeking a bit of heat, the Jalapeno Burger proved to be a winner. The bold flavors of the burger were complemented by the perfect amount of spice, making it a satisfying choice for those who enjoy a bit of kick in their meal.
Beyond the culinary delights, the ambiance of Bee Hive Brew Pub was inviting, with ample seating that accommodated my family comfortably. The establishment is situated in a nice area, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.
Lastly, the staff at Bee Hive Brew Pub truly stood out. Their warmth and attentiveness added a personal touch to the evening, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout our visit.
In conclusion, Bee Hive Brew Pub is a gem for food enthusiasts seeking a diverse menu, a comfortable setting, and friendly service. I highly recommend it for a satisfying dining experience that caters to a range of tastes and preferences.
After stopping at Wildflower boutique next door, I stopped into Resilience bakery! I am gluten free and have Crohn’s disease so food is always a hit or miss. However, im happy to report that Resilience Bakery is a huge hit. I got the gluten free peanut butter cookie and the gluten free chocolate chip cookie and both were so so good. I will admit, I was more of a fan of the peanut butter than I was the chocolate (just based on consistency) but both were very highly rated on my scale.
The kitchen is not dedicated gluten free and some of the gluten free foods are in the same case as gluten containing foods, but they’re kept on the top shelf and the owner is careful to put clean gloves on to handle the gluten free foods. I didn’t have any issues or flares with my Crohn’s after eating the cookies, but I am able to have minimal cross contamination.
All in all, this was a great place to snag a snack from! You should definitely head over to wildflowers as well if you’re a jellycat fanatic like myself! They have amazing finds!
My fiancé and I stopped in for lunch while visiting the area and we were so pleasantly surprised by this place!! The food was so incredibly fresh & delicious. I feel like we’re hard critics when it comes to finding good mexican food and we both agreed this was some of the best we’ve ever had. I’m gluten free & all but a few items on their large menu could be made gluten free. They also have a separate fryer for their chips!! The service was a 10/10 as well! We cannot wait to come back the next time we’re in town
08/03/2021 take out dinners for 8 adults. 3 chicken riggies (1 was gluten-free). 2 shrimp&scallops fradiablo, 1 fruits di mare, 1 spaghetti & meatballs and 1 eggplant parm. We all loved our meals which also came with a side salad. 2 of us upgraded to a wedge salad with crumbled blue cheese. Order was ready when expected. Well packed. Very helpful on phone when placing order.
This was a great find on our visit to the area. The coffee and food (they have gluten free options!) were both great. It’s a cool little building too. Our budget is glad we didn’t find it early in our trip. Ha!
Exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and accommodating to dietary preferences(Gluten free). The combination of the lowkey ambiance inside and the lake view outside provided the perfect spot for lunch or dinner. Bar offered a goof variety of local beer, wine and cocktails.
Nice little bakery , has gluten free options and the cupcakes are so worth it. I'm a heavy eater, one was satisfying , a heavy cupcake. I'm also major lactose intolerant and the frosting really didn't bother that at all. They also serve coffee and such using local beans. Decent, fair prices but the quality is there. Going south in the morning stop here for coffee not far from gas station prices .
Had lunch on the upstairs outside seating area. We had a party of 10 which was accommodated warmly and without issue. Service and food was outstanding. We ordered a variety of foods including trap family members, one a vegetarian and the other, gluten free. Everything was exceptional. Great reviews all around… including dessert (chocolate torte, lemon cake and, of course, NY cheesecake)!
I am vegan for health reasons and it is always incredibly difficult for me to eat out. When we arrived the man who sat us was incredibly careful with everything for me when I told him. He recommended great dishes not just for me, but for everyone in our party. When he brought our one dish he said to me "not for you, though. I have something for you." I do not remember what the dish he brought me was but it was the tastiest cracker ever, gluten free and vegan. I took my leftovers and asked the gentleman whst the best way to re heat this was. He gave me super detailed instructions again, not just for me but for all the dishes in our party so I could share. The food was incredible. The service wad the best I have ever had.
Got my celiac disease-suffering wife a medium twist on a gluten-free cone that was a mile high. For myself, watching my weight, I ordered a kiddie twist cone but it was at least half a mile high—over-generous portions!
Really good food. Waitress knew I had a gluten sensitivity from my wig marketing reservations and mentioned it. Food was good, waitress was amazing..... We'll be back.
Food was delicious, they have gluten free pizza crust and it was superb! Service was absolutely wonderful, and they had a ton of outdoor seating. We definitely will be back!
I always loved coming here for the gluten free chicken parm. As someone with celiac disease, I have never had a problem with the entree only one other time than today & that was 3 years ago, was takeout, and was a misunderstanding with the waitstaff. I was taking out my granddaughter for lunch & this time, however, the entree came out & it did not look like the gluten free version like I had previously. The waitress said she would double check it & she did. She came back saying that it was gluten free. Because I was hungry & bc that waitress has always been good to us, I ate it. Three hours later, I started getting sick and have been since (3 more hours).
I realize that Peppers is not a gluten free establishment. I get that cross-contamination occurs. I have dealt with cross-contamination before and it ends up showing up as little blisters on my fingers. This was obviously a more blatant “glutening”. So either the waitress did not double check with the chef (doubtful, as she has always been great) or the chef said it was gluten free bc s/he didn’t want to remake it.
I even paid extra to have this prepared gluten free…almost $30 total for the meal. So my celiac friends, don’t trust it. I’m not going to ever again.
As a local small business owner myself (& an advertiser on Peppers’ tables), I will continue to recommend this place to friends and family. Just not for anyone that has celiac disease.
I’ve been telling myself that I’d stop in Next Door Coffee because I drive by every morning on my way to work. Today was the day, and it will not be the last! They have the best cold brew I have ever tasted, and the proportions of cold brew to mocha sauce to milk were perfect. They also had an amazing gluten-free (and dairy-free!) blueberry muffin. The options are not limiting here. For a small business, their prices are also better than any corporate chain you will find yourself at. Do yourself a favor and stop in, the owners are personable and you’ll leave with a smile!
Where the locals go to get best subs, pizza, wings! I've been gluten free for 10 years and am doing a gluten challenge, and if this is the only pizza I have for the rest of my life, I will die happy. Best flavor sauce, texture of crust, cooked exactly right, best quality of ingredients, exceptional sausage. Toppings were randomly strewn around unevenly for you OCD people out there. I asked for extra sauce, sat in the available dining area and loved the aroma. Owner shared that he does not use the high gluten flour in his crust. Leftover Pizza tasted great reheated 2 and 3 days later. I asked my husband if I was just delighted because of being gluten free and he said no, this really was exceptional pizza, and several friends have since confirmed they love it too. Best Pizza in My LIFE!!!
My wife and I recently had our second dining experience at Il Posto under the new ownership. In our first experience, we had excellent service and food, so when we were in Canandaigua again, it was easy to choose a restaurant. The second time around, there were 5 in our party, and they were happy to honor our request to sit outside when making the reservation. When we arrived, they were busy, but they seated us quickly. They gave us plenty of time to enjoy our drinks while looking over the menu and answering any questions we had. One of our party members had gluten and dairy allergies; while their menu had several options, they were also willing to alter other dishes to meet her dietary restrictions. I had the carbonara, and it was creamy and tasty; the guanciale sprinkled on top was so crispy that it gave every bite a nice crunch. I had a taste of the zuppa di pesce, and the sauce was so rich and savory that I’ll probably order it next time. The staff was very attentive and friendly, everyone thought the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxing; it was a wonderful evening! This is a great little bistro, and we look forward to dining there again!
