A beautiful neighborhood gem that is at home in a big city or a smaller town! Gluten free options that you don't normally find anywhere and desserts that are spectacular. It doesn't hurt to make a reservation, but you can sit on the spacious patio without one. Try Beef and Leaf, you won't be disappointed!
The Santa Fe location is a GEM. The warm welcome that I receive from the luminous barista, Max, is worth the price of admission! I only frequent establishments where the staff seems truly happy to be there, because staff contentment considerably influences ambiance. I also appreciate how the soft, rhythmic music they play is conducive to conversation.
The outdoor seating area is so charming that I haven't sat indoors yet. There are sunny and shaded areas and lots of planting afoot to make it really lush for the warmer months. There's a pet grooming business next door, and I enjoyed observing customers joyfully greeting their spiffed-up pets.
On the two occasions I've been here, I was very pleased with my choices--a mint and coconut milk latte, and an iced hibiscus tea. Coconut milk is my best non-dairy choice and is rarely available in other cafes. Hibiscus is packed with vitamin C and known to promote heart health. I hope the cafe commits to reducing single-use plastic waste. In the future, I'll see if the management is amenable to letting me bring my own cup.
I haven't eaten here yet, but I gave it five stars because my companion raves about the blueberry muffins. I'm excited to try their gluten-free options on my next visit.
This downtown business actually has its own parking! Those spots may be hard to come by in the very near future, but for now, it's quite the perk!
Pretty good food. We left satisfied. The salsa seems to be made fresh in-house. The bathroom sink needs to be scrubbed with a pumice stone and overall looked neglected. I wish the menu had gluten-friendly options marked.
Great small business.
We submitted an online order and something went wrong, they didn't have the order.
The lady helping us was very kind and got the order started right away, and we were out in a decent amount of time.
Portions are large, two meals at least for most people. We had one order that needed to be wheat free, and they had that option, understood it, and were able to make one of the meals gluten free with a minimum of hassle.
My only gripe is I think the noodles would benefit from a little more sauce, but that's a small thing, and often you have something in your fridge that does the job.
Great place if you want what they're serving. Give them a try!
Very comfy place to have some coffee and a snack. There was a decent amount of gluten free pastries incuding lemon pound cake muffins and blueberry muffins. They also have macrons ehich are gluten free. I especially like the Chai that they make!
This place is a gem and you could hear comments like “this was the highlight of the day” when you enter the place. This was the first national park in US with delicious food and even gluten free options (including dessert).
We had:
Indian Masala Chai 😍
Samosas (spicy 🔥)
Elk burger (Gluten Free Bun)
Elk burger (Doug style with hatch chili)
Freshly baked chocolate chip cookie
If we had room we would have ordered gluten free desserts because they looked great.
Everything was exceptional. I would highly recommend this place. Service was fast, and the ambiance was zen. You can sit inside or outside.
