I have been looking for a really good gluten free pizza and checked many places but had yet to find one until the one I had at Papa Razzi. They can make any of their pizzas gluten free. I had the Melanzane with sauce. It was delicious. The crust is a bit thin but the flavor was wonderful.

Sad to say but not safe for celiacs- at least not the sushi. Actually really sad about this because I loved this place and actually really trusted the diligence and knowledge of allergies but I got sat at the sushi bar tonight and saw my order get cross contaminated, rolling fish in tempura and then using the same glove and knife on my supposedly gluten free sushi roll (for those who don’t know with celiac even the smallest amount of gluten can make someone really sick for days). Very disappointed because it makes me question if my food was ever really safe even in the kitchen. Unfortunately I am only symptomatic sometimes so I can’t tell if I was “glutened” many times before and didn’t know. Even when asymptomatic any amount of gluten will cause an autoimmune response for someone with celiac and damage their intestines. Hoping that the restaurant reads these reviews and makes it safer for their gluten free community since I can see they try to include us in their menu options.
We’ve never loved the food at the local but we decided on getting burgers there as it was kind of late for Wellesley on Saturday night (8:30pm). I ordered a burger on gluten free bun and a Cesar salad without croutons. Of course burger comes out on regular bun and the salad had bread on it. I politely asked if they were sure the order was correct and the waitress apologized saying that she had forgotten to put in the request to accommodate my allergy, took it back and said it’d be a minute. Literally a minute later the plate came back out again. I asked if it was the same meat and toppings on a different bread and she stared at me and very rudely said it was, and then proceeded to ask if my allergy was serious in a very condescending tone. Added to that the GF bun was cold and by this point the meat was getting cold and hard as well. Worst part is she never offered to recook the burger, didn’t comp any cost, or send anything to apologize. Awful awful experience. I must add that their wine glasses looked filthy and I regret not saying something to the manager.
Very tasty food, not a super loud restaurant, gluten free pasta is available to substitute for the mains, and there's a gluten free tiramisu made from almond flour--it was delicious. The waitstaff were prompt and polite and gave great suggestions. Easy to make reservations.
First originating in Newton, Comella's became a family owned brand that began to share it's food with many other communities. Delicious foods include the "messes," a catering tray filled to the brim with pasta, meat, and served in a 'Murican portions. Enough to save for meals for days.
They serve desserts and some soft drinks as well. Over the last few years, they have provided a gluten-free menu, so options have expanded for those with food allergies. Check it out!
Juniper has been one of our favorite spots for years and is always full of fun surprises. Cocktails are unique, dips are SO good with fresh warm pita, salads are creative combinations of seasonal ingredients, and the braised short rib is insanely delicious. We love the kind and welcoming staff, magical outdoor decor, and relaxed vibe. We recently went when eating gluten free and they enthusiastically accommodated that with ease. We also got to meet and talk with Chef Dave who is an absolute joy! Highly recommend :)
I am gluten intolerant. I got glutened and instead of saying "I'm sorry" they repeated over and over again how I should have ordered my food differently when I repeated I am gluten free several times. This used to be my safe spot, never again.
We had my son’s birthday family luncheon here, and it was phenomenal. Perry was responsive by email and very flexible about changes we needed to make in the last moment. We pre-ordered by emailing a list of what we wanted, including several gluten free dishes, and everything was ready for us when we arrived. And to find gluten free Chinese food!? AMAZING! Everything was delicious and it’s clear they do GF right because those of us who are GF for various reasons all felt wonderful / had no reaction, immediate or delayed. Will be frequenting this restaurant for sure!
Delicious food! Valentina is a wonderful server and took care of us throughout the night. The tapas are a great sharing size and there are tons of gluten free options.
We just re-located our office to the area and Rice Burg has quickly become my go to for lunch. I am also Celiac, and they are very knowledgeable about food allergies. I love the variety of options for their rice bowls!
