I have family with celiac so it's really nice to find a good seafood place with options they can eat. I found the staff to be delightful and the old delicious.

Stopped in today for early lunch. This was the perfect spot. I’m gluten free so they were able to make me a sandwich with GF bread. I got a hot tea based off the cashiers recommendation & both were delicious. If I’m in Lewiston again I won’t hesitate to pop in again.

My grandparents and I came to eat here, as they had advertised themselves as offering gluten free options. We are not horribly allergic, just intolerant to gluten that can cause some discomfort. Upon entering, it was obvious there was just one waitress working the front of house. She was kind and friendly, but obviously under a lot of pressure. I want to preface by saying that none of what followed was her fault. We ordered coffees, which came in dirty mugs. My grandfather (who is not GF) ordered biscuits and gravy, which he could not eat, because it smelled and tasted like fish. My boyfriend (not GF) ordered fruit crepes, which he had a difficult time eating as the raspberries tasted fermented. The silverware had spots on it. Our baked beans were okay, but the cups they were served in had unidentifiable food crusted to the side. My grandmother had to send her soup back as it was freezing cold when it arrived at our table. On the menu it was advertised as gluten free, vegetarian beef and tomato soup. Despite it being returned to the table reheated, she could not finish it. We had each, in pairs, driven an hour to meet here. We live far away and this was a halfway point for us. It was a disappointing experience. I politely took the waitress aside and told her about these issues. I asked for at least the biscuits and gravy to be removed from the slip, which she kindly did. As someone who had worked in kitchens as a cook, I understand that things can get overwhelming at times, but the restaurant was not remarkably busy. There are many things I can be understanding about, had it been just one of our orders being off. But this was our whole meal. When we filed out of our booth to leave, I saw that my grandmother had been sitting on a large duct taped patch where the vinyl had been worn away. I'm not sure who is responsible for the state of things here, but they seem to have abandoned their responsibilities here.

Get all our special desserts here. Helpful staff, delicious baked goods, fantastic baked beans. Wish they had more gluten free options (just frozen cupcakes). Went a lot more often before I was gf, now we regularly get the baked beans- Jacob's Cattle is my fav!
