As a guy going to breakfast, it’s not the best ~options-wise~ if you want lots of protein and a big breakfast the only options you really have is the quinoa bowl “power bowl” and bacon.
Although it tastes great, and the staff are great .

Visiting from our of town and was taken there by family. Great place. Staff was wonderful. I am gluten free, didn't ask for a specific GF menu but the main menu had many options. Had the tacos, awesome. Late in the evening a GF pizza showed up. Very good also.

We heard of HBROS from friends and wanted to try something new. When I saw everything was gluten free and nut free I was sold!!! Delicious, gluten free and it was quick! Tameeka was very helpful with our first visit.
When I ordered a gluten-free roll, the cashier asked if it was an allergy, which it was. And the staff communicated down the line that an allergy order was coming up. I really appreciate them taking care in ensuring that everyone knew to take the necessary precautions.
The shrimp and grits is gluten free and very lovely to eat, but everything’s a bit pricey after happy hour. Also, the cocktails can be a bit inconsistent in the alcohol ratio, but the staff are always happy to remake it for you.
The staff were very friendly and compensated us for longer than expected wait times on food. I was quite pleased with the gluten free pizza and the flexibility we had during our impromptu coworker luncheon. I’m definitely coming back!
We came here for a birthday dinner celebration. We had a reservation and our table was ready right away. The host and the servers were great. The food was at best, mediocre. There was very little seasoning or flavor in any of the 5 dishes we ordered. The seafood dishes were overcooked, leaving us to wonder if they were warmed up in a microwave. It was very good to see so many gluten free options. The brownies in the birthday dessert got very good reviews.
When I was pregnant with my daughter (11 years ago) I would crave BBQ from Bates and come almost daily. My family lives in Shawnee whereas I moved out of state years ago. Whenever I am home- 4 days this time- this is an absolute must eat at place. I ate two of my meals here. I also bought BBQ sauce (which they wrapped nicely) to take home in my luggage. My mom always brings me sauce from here for my own ribs to satisfy my hometown craving. Their food is the absolute best. The brothers who own the place are kind, knowledgeable, and make some yummy burnt ends. Everything is gluten free so if you have food allergies like myself you don’t have to fret. The lunch specials are always delicious. Food is hot, customer service is on point, atmosphere is authenticity fun and sassy: Bates is the BEST BBQ place in town, in my humble (and correct opinion).
Our family of four ate lunch here. We were all happy with our food choices. I had the black Angus sandwich on gluten free bread. Fresh and delicious! The only issue was that men's bathroom was pretty gross. I know the staff can't always control what customers do, but my hubby and son both found it dirty, and they are not very picky!
Went for a friend's birthday. Most everything has gluten so I had the ahi Tuna salad with egg drop soup and cucumber, Tuna and salmon sushi appetizers. It was good, I'm just not a sushi person.
The steaks were absolutely delicious! Brings back beloved memories! They handled our Celiac requirements perfectly! I'd give 10 stars or more if I could.
I am obsessed with the karaage chicken and steamed rice, the spicy mayo is soooo good! The classic broth is by far my favorite but all broths are amazing. I like the gluten-free options since my girlfriends parents and sister are allergic
The gluten free pancakes were good and the fruit was sugar free. Wait staff is very attentive and nice, the coffee was good and the 1/2n1/2 looks like it came straight from the dairy.

Ice cream? Never heard of it. We love this cookie place! The gluten friendly cookies are amazing! I also love the low cal sweet drinks, like drinks from Sonic but so much more variety and flavors.
The food came wheely fast, the service was right on track, and the tater ties really helped bring the meal together. The gluten free options made me feel out of steam but the management kept things chugging along. We loved the little toot toot ride and the “alright” dude really brought up the caboose.
