Uptown Grill has always been my favorite restaurant. I discovered it over 20 years ago when I first moved to the Illinois Valley. Now, I've moved back to Central Illinois and only get to visit the area occasionally but must visit Uptown Grill each time I return. This visit, there were 15 of us and the staff were amazing! All of our orders were correct. One of our diners has to have gluten free food, and the chef was able to accommodate his needs with no problem. The staff was delightful. The food was exceptional, as always. This is a must have restaurant. There is something to please every palate. You will always leave satisfied.

Plenty of food choices. Even gluten free veggie. Prices are affordable. Full bar with tv's. Stopped in Friday evening on the way to Springfield and liked the meal so much we went back on Saturday on the way back to Rockford.

Delicious. The pizza was phenomenal. At first I didn't even believe it was gluten free. Let's be real. Perfectly crunchy without the weird doughy texture. The vegetables were actually perfectly sliced and not slimy. I wish they would have added a little bit more nutritional yeast and cashew cheese but otherwise it was literally perfect. The smoothie was also delicious. I got the mango with almond milk .It's sad that there's literally no other vegan places around here. I had to travel 38 minutes from Starved Rock but it was totally worth it. Very kind owners and honestly everything in there is delicious. I did not get sick and I am gluten-free and vegan. Thank you so much for providing health and wellness, especially with local products. We need more of people like this. Not everyone wants to consume greasy food after a nice hike. Namaste. Side note:child friendly and super dang clean.
