My personal experience has always been great at this food truck. The gluten free chicken schnitzel sandwich as well as the hash brown are unique and amazing! The customer service has always been great for me and my husband.
I had their gluten free pizza. It was very good. The bottom of the crust was crispy and the edge of the pizza was crispy as well. It was also a thicker crust and not a thin crust. I have celiac disease and I didn't have an issue at all. I will definitely be ordering again! Thank you!
Been dying to try this place out but I am a professional procrastinatorâŠI finally made it and omg I canât believe my tastebuds!!! The flavoring of the meat alone!!! Iâm weird and I donât really like vegetables but I threw some in and itâs sooo friggin delicious itâs literally Mexican meets Pacific!! I came in after 9 pm and all the ingredients were still fresh af!! The portions are great too!! They arenât stingy at all!!!! I have Celiac disease and most of the GF take out options arent that appetizing. NOT HERE!!! omgawwdddd this is my new favorite spot. I literally can eat this every dayyyy!!!! Ntm the owner was really helpful & patient (I take a while w/decision making). It was also very clean and the aroma of the food when u walk in is to die for!!! Donât mind my food I mix everything together especially Shepherds Pie đ€·đ»ââïž They fill the bowl
I always order gluten free for my fiance, and today we ordered without her. They rememberd me and double checked that the food I was getting was OK for me to eat. Thanks so much, really love this restaurant. The tom yum soup is to die for.
I have celiac, and I wanted to try their gluten free pizza. On my GF pizza, I had light sauce and extra cheese. The pizza was ABSOLUTELY delicious! Pavilion's GF pizza is my new number 1 for GF pizza. Thank you!
I'm gluten free and the employees looked up the ingredients for me on certain things to make sure I could have it. My husband is dairy free and he loved th dairy free choc peanut butter flavor..
Very helpful and the ice cream is great!
I'm a big fan of a NY style pizza. You can tell that the dough is made fresh. You can also request a different style pizza: thick crust, gluten free. The location is very convinient. Great customer service. Sam and his crew are awsome, always welcoming their costumers with a smile.
This is a quaint local restaurant with some character and metal art on the walls, the art is for sale. The plates are generous, homely and delicious. The restaurant only had a few clients when we visited and the service was prompt.
They gave gluten free options.
DONâT purchase Gluten Free Cupcakes from Harvest Bakery, Bristol CT
When I found out I had Celiac Disease, I was desperate to find a bakery that made gluten free cupcakes. Harvest Bakery in Bristol, CT did, and they were really good. In fact, they tasted better than regular cupcakes.
1 œ years ago, I was going to a party and decided to bring a dozen GF cupcakes with colored frosting, (mainly because I wanted them đ). When I got to the party, I tried one and it was horrible. It tasted strange. Unfortunately, other people had grabbed a few but I took the rest away (thinking something was wrong with them). I brought them back to the store the next day and as soon as they saw them, they said, âThese arenât gluten freeâ. I was so angry, but they offered me store credit and I figured, everyone makes mistakes.
6 months later, we had another party to go to. Again, I ordered a dozen GF cupcakes but this time, I gave specific instructions, to make sure they were going to be gluten free. I opened the box, and they looked colorful, so I paid for them and went to the party. Only to discover (after tasting one), that they were not gluten free!... again!!! I was so angry; I just threw them out. I should have brought them back but instead I vowed to never go back there again.
One year later (this past weekend), I needed to bring gluten free cupcakes to a party. I called Harvest (since itâs the only place I knew that sold GF cupcakes near me). This time I asked the person to bold the words gluten free, star them, and let the baker know that they had to be GF. I called during the week to make sure the order was still correct, and they read it back to me; letting me know the stars and bold lettering were there. After picking them up, we went to the party. I took one out, split it in half and I could tell they were not gluten freeâŠ. again!!!! (I canât tell by looking at them with the frosting, but I could tell when I split them open). When I brought them back to the bakery, they could tell right away that they were not gluten free. If they can identify them that easily, why are they not able to readily identify them when they are being packaged for pick up? I understand there are those that just want to be âgluten freeâ however for those of us that have true allergies, eating gluten can be DANGEROUS to our health.
For such a reputable company to make such a huge mistake not once, but three times, is unacceptable. Iâm not sure how the other bakery items are at Harvest but I think they should get out of the gluten free side of it. After they investigated the order, I was finally able to go back and pick up my refund.
Do yourself a favor, if you need gluten free cupcakes, donât go to Harvest Bakery. Go to Cake Gypsy (I finally found a better place!!!). Their cupcakes taste better, and the people there really care about their customers and their allergies.
I will not be going back to Harvest Bakery or recommending them to anyone.
Do not eat here if you have celiac disease or any kind of allergy/reaction to gluten. They claim to have gluten free options on the menu, but when I informed the waitress that I had celiac disease, she admitted that cross contamination happens because they donât have a fryer dedicated to gluten free food. NOT GLUTEN FREE.
