Wow, what a find! The food was incredible! So tasty. 😋 I had the bun Jovi burger wrap and was the best vegan & gluten free wrap I’ve ever had! (I choose from the vegan menu which was mostly gluten free and my partner had the chicken pesto wrap from the flexitarian menu)
Our waiter was lovely too. Highly recommended!
I'm celiac, so I can't eat gluten at all. At the menu there are some dishes marked as gluten free, but always double check with the kitchen / waitress if it's 100% save. We went there two times and I always had the fish. It's delicious and I didn't had any problems. So totally recommend this place.

This was our favorite restaurant in all of Southern Africa! My husband and I ordered almost every entree on the vegan menu (11 dishes), including their 3 course set menu with 3 sides (we're foodies!). Every single one was delicious and made with fresh, healthy ingredients. My favorite was the Defin Misir Alicha - a brown lentil dish. I am going to try to find a recipe to make it back home in America! My husband raved about every dish that was seasoned with Berbere. He ordered a cocktail (the Spice Ethiopian Tosgne) which he still talks about because it was so good (and he's very picky about his cocktails, since he's an unofficial expert mixologist).
The service was exceptional. Our waiter (Linga?) was friendly and cheerful, prompt, personable, and respectful. The brief interactions we had with other waiters (and I think the owner) were all remarkably friendly. Our courses felt perfectly timed - neither rushed nor tardy. Our waiter even noticed that after the sun set, there were some mosquitoes near our outdoor table (we hadn't noticed) and was thoughtful enough to bring out some burning frankincense to repel them. It worked and smelled great!
Everything looked and felt clean. The tables, chairs, plates, and decor all crafted an atmosphere that felt authentic, pleasant, and not overdone.
They had so many options that we'd be comfortable bringing people there with all kinds of different needs - people who don't like spice or love spice, vegans, vegetarians, gluten-free, dairy-free, whatever. It's very accommodating.
The food is some of the best I have ever
had. we shared 2 lots of tacos & each had the brisket that melted in your mouth. I truly haven't had food quite like it before. The price is extremely valuable for the quality & location. The staff were exceptional, very kind & very knowledgeable. My friend is
gluten-free and had plenty of great options available.
My first visit to this lovely little gem of a place. Large window view on Table Mountain! The atmosphere is cozy and low key. Loved the gluten-free options on the menu! Great coffee. We had the Turkish Eggs and Shashuka for brunch, both great options. Finished with some gluten-free sweets from the display - yum.. Our waiter was really friendly and attentive. Will be back!
Eclectic! Great food and bakes cooked on the premises - you can see them baking. Amazing industrial chic mixed with mysterious but classy junk shop vibes - can easily get lost (figuratively) just wandering around an absolute gem and the coffee is pretty good. Excellent gluten free bread.
Had a really nice glutenfree pizza there for lunch. Got served super fast. Our waiter Lucy was amazing with my toddler and he got his own pizza dough to make his own pizza bread, which they then baked for him. Can recommend 100%. Thaaaaanks !
Stop most food and drink options at 3 pm and staff are generally unhelpful or unable to assist. The closing time of 430 pm is misleading as if you arrive at 4 pm most things are packed away. Prices are very high for what you get. During lunch it takes a long time to order and receive your food so if you have less than an hour it is better to go somewhere else.
Having said that they offer a large variety of gluten free, vegan and vegetarian foods especially many sweet options/smoothies which are difficult to find at other restaurants. They have convenient parking which is provided free for Nourished customers and is leased by the restaurant (although the attendant looks belligerent and tries to imply that he owns the lot and should be paid for time spent in the nourished parking.) I would prefer a car guard.
Just stopped for brunch and sat at the bar overlooking Camps Bay. Lovely location and views, matched by great service and super tasty food. The breakfast bap was delicious and the gluten free options are excellent. Bathrooms are spotlessly clean, too. Highly recommend.
We were 4 diners. My daughter has Celiac disease so we specifically went to Maria’s because they advertised gluten free food. The food was amazingly good! But the manager was rude and abrasive, very dismissive when we asked for assurance that the food was prepared separately. When we got our starters, her gluten free starter was placed next to pita bread that was NOT gluten free, thus contaminating her food. When we pointed this out to the manager, he simply shrugged and left. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. And also apologetic about another table that was very loud, causing us to not stay for dessert because the noise level was simply too high! The only down side about the food was the baklava fingers we ordered as take away. They were vile! Tasted only of cinnamon. I’m Greek so I know how they should taste. Very disappointing dessert, don’t order that!
Before I was diagnosed as a celiac I loved eating here. They have always had great quality, delicious food. I stopped for a few years because they didn't have good gluten free options. Today I had a toasted gluten-free sandwich and it was amazing. Really happy they have made such a big effort to cater to those of us with food allergies and intolerances. I'll definitely be back.
Super delicious toasted sandwiches. They have gluten free bread which was also really good and didnt make you miss actual bread like some GF seed loaves make you feel. I also recommend the hot chocolate!
I absolutely loved the Gluten-Free Classic Falafel Wrap. So fresh and flavorful. The Peanut Butter Cup was the perfect treat, rich and indulgent.
Healthy, delicious, and made with care. Highly recommend it! 💛
We had lunch here on the recommendation of a local. Unfortunately, the audacity of others won out when it came to allocating tables, but in the end we also got a table with a great view. The gluten-free wrap with extra salmon tasted and looked excellent and was very filling. Nevertheless, a dessert couldn't be missing from the selection, which excited me even more. Ultimately, too much was deducted from the bill, but we didn't complain about this because of the good food.
Both service and food were amazing. Option of both fresh fish platter or sushi. If you opt for fresh fish, the waiter helps you choose and walks you through all the options step by step. Sushi is prepared in front of you and the chefs a great to engage with. The team also helped with allergies, making gluten free versions. Front of house manager was also extremely welcoming and friendly on arrival and throughout. Was our most expensive meal in South Africa, but well worth the money (and still far cheaper than the UK).
Probably the best meal we had in Capetown, really really tasty food in a fun format. They catered for my girlfriends gluten free diet (coeliac Disease) really well, all of the curries are already gluten free but when you tell them about your gluten free diet they make the breads and pakoras out of a different flour. Staff were very attentive and the drinks were good. It is loud and bustling but that’s what I liked about the place.
Delicious authentic and above that all especially gluten-free noodles! And I loved that they don’t save on peanuts - healthy way to have quick lunch or dinner after a sunny day! #tofulovers here we go!
Never tried it before but was blown away by how tasty it was! Highly reccomend even if you're just stopping by for a takeaway snack they're so delicious!
They also cater for gluten free diets too!
We had the Patatas Crujientes, the corn ribs, the beef birria and the chicken birria. All of it was extremely tasty. Cocktails also fantastic.
Our servers, Arnold and Nigel were friendly and helpful. I am gluten intolerant and am therefore quite difficult to cater for, but Arnold was well informed and made sure to point out what I wouldn't be able to eat on the menu.

Delicious food in a warm, friendly atmosphere. Having gluten free pasta on the menu was a huge plus, and it was perfectly cooked and topped with their yummy bolognese. Highly recommend.

Real Food Co provides excellent quality products with carefully researched ingredients. This is one of the best stores to source natural products for cleaning, self-care, pet-care and ingredients to create organic, nutritious food. If you are not in the mood to bake, there is fresh-baked bread, gluten free muffins and home-made granola on offer for purchase. The coffee shop and restaurant on the premises provide a peaceful spot to rest and replenish your energy if you want to stop for a bite.

Such a beautiful experience. Every detail is carefully considered. We loved the relaxed ambience and every dish was a thing of beauty - for both the eye & the palate. They were so warm and accommodating for my gluten free mom. Really excellent service. And the Winter Special is such a great deal! Thank you!
This place is fantastic , great modern environment , with a place by the open wall of windows to people watch. Food is amazing especially the healthy smoothies and burgers. For those who are gluten free they have a really good gluten free bun . Prices are also very fair for the quality . Great fast casual type place to go solo.

Absolutely Amazing! What an AMAZING experience. You are instantly welcomed into Julia's "home" like family.
The social nature of the dining experience is only surpassed by the extraordinary culinary, wine, and service experience. Each dish is creatively prepared with expert precision and creativity.
MENU
Julia shapes the menu based on the freshest ingredients she can source from local purveyors. You feel as though you are dining with friends in Julia's home vs. a sterile restaurant.
SERVICE
The service staff anticipates your needs. We never once had to request bread, butter, water, wine, or anything. It was a masterclass in service.
WINES
It is clear that the wines are not accidentally paired, but Julia crafts each course to perfectly pair with its wine. We arrived at 6:30PM and before we knew it, it was 11PM and the table was filled with satisfied friends who had become like family during the course of the evening.
OVERALL
This was one of our favorite dining experiences that we have had anywhere in the world. One of us has dietary restrictions (gluten and dairy). Julia's team adapted each course to give that guest the full experience. They even produced their own gluten-free bread (which was fantastic). Whereas many places will accommodate dietary restrictions with something underwhelming, Julia's team embraced those restrictions in such a way that the guest had every bit of a culinary experience that the rest of us enjoyed. We cannot recommend Reverie any higher. Book in advance, and prepare for a great evening!
