They have gluten free pastries and dairy free though when I was there they only had one that was both --an almond muffin. It had a great flavor but was very dense. My glutenphiles loved their pastries.
I have been so hooked on JM for years, I have always appreciated their attention to premium sandwich ingredients, that changed dramatically on this visit. I recently have been doing gluten-free options. I know their are challenges and always ask all of the important questions, such as, is it dry, does it feel soft, and the important one, is it gritty. I was informed that this roll was soft and none of the other questions didn't apply. Next, I was gobsmacked by the $5 upcharge. This was a terrible experience, and I will not do their gluten-free choice again. They should go to Firehouse subs and try their's, it is awesome and spot on.
We live e this quaint little cafe! Servers are friendly and there are good Vegan and Gluten free options on their menu! Food is awesome and smoothies even better
I used to go here all the time and it was a happening spot very lively.
Being said, I went there last night with my wife and kids. Dude behind the counter said something and I was like "what" because I couldn't understand him, he was trying to speak really soft and left me guessing. Im hard of hearing and it wasn't loud inside at alll in customer service soft spoken is horrible. And no eye contact or care about who was ordering very cold not comfortable.
I ordered 2 Philly cheese steaks with gluten-free wraps and 3 chicken cheese pitas for my kids.
This took some doing as again, I was having trouble understanding the guy and he didn't seem to know what was on the menu or care to actually take my order. I had to ask 3 or 4 times would the wrap be GF, as he wouldn't acknowledge my request or recant my order.
We also apparently perturbed him by asking for cups to get water, we did ask 3 times. Perhaps too many times.
So service was terrible.
We received our order and somehow everything was cold and gross.. like nasty, gooey, soggy. Mind you I did tip the guy, as it's apparently customary to tip prior to receiving horrible service and food.
Pita Pit has gone to the dogs, wow just a big let down. For what you pay $70 ish. Being that I had an hour drive ahead of me we ordered to go and yes I had to ask for a to go bag. One should expect so much better spending that much for a snack.
Portions are very small not at all like what is advertised in the pictures my guess is 30% accurate not packed in there the advertising is wrong.
Go anywhere else like Bashas and get some quality snacks that would be a better investment for your time and money.
We had a very enjoyable meal here at lunchtime. Excellent quality food and service. In particular, 2 of our party are gluten free which can often mean limited options. Not here, and they said the buns were the best they had eaten.
