We have been coming to @butter.and.jam.cafe since 2021. Excited to see the evolution & growth of this solid restaurant. Bill and his wife, Christina @cdanello1 have done an incredible job of creating an inclusive environment with a relaxed vibe. The food is consistently fresh and prepared well. The servers are true hustlers, ensuring that clients’ needs are met. Additionally, Bill Gelling is always accommodating and gracious. As a local business owner, I admire the thought, creativity that he and Christina put into the details. Today I had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious brunch with my family. A staple, Nutella croissant, was “shared” by the table. B & J’s gluten-free bread is the best I’ve had out in the area to-date. As you can see by these photos and the smiles on my kids’ faces, there’s plenty to be grateful for in having Butter & Jam make its home in Madison just a few years ago ☕️🍳🥐🥑.

I am a VERY picky Italian eater. I am a chef. I teach home cooking. I spend a lot of time in Italy. THIS place is GOOD. REALLY GOOD. Let me share...the meatballs appetizer ( are gluten free!-and whether you need gluten free or not these are exceptional!) the homemade pasta with the mushroom sauce, then the lamb that was seasoned perfectly, thin and tender and not overdone... the greens were flavorful and still bright green and the tiramisu for dessert was divine. That is a compliment coming from someone who makes it at home and NEVER orders it out! I'm leaving for Italy in 10 days... tonite, I felt like I was already there. My friend and I shared the pasta dish, then shared the lamb dish... it was perfect. AND we left satisfied, not stuffed. I'm going back this weekend with my husband for sure! Just go in and ask the owner to bring you dinner. Don't even look at the menu. That's what I did. You won't be sorry. Grazie mille per una cena eccezionale!

Eat here. Everything was so great. They also have gluten free wraps! The service was great and they were so fun. They do daily dinner takeout! I cannot wait to eat here again!
