Got intoxicated badly here despite confirming with the waitress that nothing in the order had gluten and them saying that they make their best to prevent cross contamination...on top the pancakes..well..they ain't pancakes. Super heavy and taste like wheat.

What a wonderful place. An amazing atmosphere, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. My wife is a celiac, and they were able to cater for all of her needs, ensuring she could enjoy the experience. As for the food, wow. Our first time, but hopefully not pur last.

Our server Larisa has been fantastic, she was friendly and very attentive to the coeliac gluten free needs of my husband. Given he is newly diagnose, we were anxious about eating out. Our server was very welcoming and so sweet, she is such an asset to the battersea team. The barman downstairs was so delightful he gave our large door water bowl and made us feel very welcome. Amazing food and service! The Chicken Bhatti was something new to us, amazing dish!

As a party of 11 we visited the Battersea restaurant on a Saturday at 12.15. I had booked in advance. When we arrived the place was virtually empty and we were seated at the back, there was no table set up for us and the table offered did not have enough seats, we were made to feel like an inconvenience when we asked for another chair. The concept was explained to us and as per my booking I advised that 4 of us were gluten free, we were told the pizzas would be cooked in a separate oven and there would be a short delay. Whilst the others tucked into the pizzas which were constantly being passed around, the 4 gluten free eaters (including myself) sat waiting. 25 minutes later we were still waiting, we asked about the pizzas to be told they wouldn't be long, 10 minutes later 2 small, thin margarita pizzas arrived. We were told more were on the way, this is bottomless after all. The bases were like cardboard and there was a distinct lack of topping. Despite them being awful the 2 teenagers in the group hungrily ate them up. We waited and waited for more to arrive but nothing came, eventually after asking more than once we received 3 more pizzas, hardly bottomless! By now everyone else had been finished for quite a while and the pizzas were so inedible we picked at the new additions and asked for the bill. When the waitress arrived with the bill and asked how everything was we explained that the gluten free pizzas took forever and were awful, her reply was "yep a lot of people say they can make much better at home!" she was right. I have a feeling if Gordon Ramsey had been served them he would have shouted a lot of expletives, especially the F bomb! I understand catering for gluten free guests is trickier, however other pizza and pasta places seem to be able to get it right, in Pizza Pilgrims you'd struggle to tell the difference. I for one (and the rest of the guests) will never be making a return visit. Come on Gordon Ramsey get this sorted!!
