We had dinner at Whistlers Restaurant this evening and the food was fantastic.
I’m gluten free and the waitress that looked after our table, along with the chef couldn’t do enough to make sure everything was ok. The duck confit was beautiful and the sticky toffee pudding was really lovely too.

Had a customized full english breakfast with gluten-free toast and tea. First I got regular toasts but they apologised swapped it out. Nice meal, nice place. Can be very busy but it shows it's a well liked place for a reason.

Friendly bar staff, pretty standard pub food for the area: tasty, heavy, greasy, usual "classic" dishes of fish & chips, burgers, etc. No surprises here. Burgers were tasty but meat was well overcooked. Nothing bad per se, but certainly a tad overpriced for what it is. Kids meals overpriced. Good gluten free options.

I love an English cottage and holidaying in the UK so I’ve been to a few. However it’s easy to see how kingham cottages have such a fabulous reputation . The cottage itself is stunning but the service and little touches are outstanding.
The manager let us in at 12pm to unload our cool box into the fridge rather being strict with the 4pm arrival time. There was jam, butter, bread and all the ‘extras’ like oil, milk, coffee pods you could need. They even had a little gluten free hamper for me as I’d mentioned it in my booking.
There was a note for the bride to be welcoming her and wishing her well for her upcoming wedding remembering I’d said she was getting married in Italy! They really did make the experience absolutely wonderful!
