Recently enjoyed a high tea here. Very tasty dishes and drinks. Was a bit afraid that the combination gluten-free and vegan (so no cheese) would be difficult for an omnivore with a cheese fetish, but that was not the case. Recommended!
The food was very tasty.
There is also the option to order gluten-free products.
Extra care was taken here.
Unfortunately I have to deduct a star because the gluten-free product I ordered was initially prepared incorrectly. It was never given to us but was told straight away and told that it would take longer because of it.
So I really see it being handled very openly.
It was still a bit annoying.
But I can really recommend it without reservation!
Quality and tasty pizzas with special Italian ingredients. Gluten-free possible (for an additional fee), this base is homemade and tastes good! The desserts were also appreciated (alcohol-free tiramisu!).
Super delicious food!
The portions are certainly adequate and the price is also in proportion to what you receive.
Big plus: gluten-free pancakes!
It's fantastic that they take allergies into account
The service is certainly friendly, just not chatty.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff who pay attention, large terrace with a nice lawn/trees in the background. Food was delicious and plenty of vegetarian dishes and options for gluten free, would definitely recommend
Concise menu but something for everyone. Most of the dishes could be made gluten free and I option 1 was vegetarian I think! Reasonably priced and we didn’t have to wait for a table despite it being a Saturday night without a reservation. If you are coeliac or gluten intolerant/allergic I would highly recommend! Your gluten eating friends will love it also!
Monday evening we went to Utrecht on spec for a dinner for four. Once we arrived at Toque Toque, we decided to take a seat on the terrace. We were kindly helped, and there was 1 person with a gluten allergy, which was ultimately successful. I had salmon myself, which was well prepared with a tasty sauce and garnish. The other 3 decided to have salads, all were positive about the quality of the food. Staff was attentive and always arrived at our table on time. 1 small downside was that the red wine was sour and not sweet, so it was open for too long. This is easily solved by opening a new bottle at the table, having it tasted and poured. Positive experience, Thank you!
I was actually expecting typical Dutch pancakes. What we got were American pancakes. And despite the savory topping, they were sweet. I had the salmon one, my friend the cheese one. I was able to order a lactose- and gluten-free pancake base. But I would have preferred them as sweet pancakes.
Nice layout and decoration of the restaurant. Top location.
Good food. Also with a gluten and lactose allergy enough choice. Waitress went to check the choice in the kitchen first but came back that it was possible. There was a lot possible she said in advance. Well helped.
Great location, friendly and helpful service and coeliac friendly with great gluten free options and surprisingly tasty GF bread. Multi-course set options also.
The team are proud of, and pleased to describe the kitchen’s creations and they should be.
Highly recommended.
The service is incredibly slow. It all takes a very long time and you have to constantly approach people if you want to order something instead of them coming by regularly to check if everything is okay. It took 60 minutes from the moment we entered until we had food, that is really way too long (and then we had to approach the lady ourselves 3 times to order something).
Food is fine, they can take gluten-free and lactose-free into account so that is nice.
If we are not allowed to eat out, then we will go to a restaurant at home. Thanks to C'est ça, we enjoyed an autumnal 4-course dinner at home. And what effort you put into it. We were given the menu and via the QR code we ended up with all the videos with explanations in which the chef explains what needs to be done and how the plate can be beautifully presented! And after a phone call in advance, you were also flexible enough to make a #dairy-free variant. When I picked it up I heard that someone would also come for a gluten-free dinner. Kudos to you for being able to adapt so much during these times and still be able to make something delicious for everyone! :-) Highly recommended!
Very nice workshop done by Siem! Learned everything about potatoes, baking fries and making mayonnaise. It was also great that there was a gluten-free option. Recommended for groups of friends and family, for example.
At first glance, Utrechter may seem like a touristy spot because of its name, but hey, are you a tourist? Then go here! Service was great, our server was personable and friendly and happy to give suggestions.
We had a cheeseboard (w/bread, jam, cheese, marinated artichokes, etc) perfect if you don’t want to commit to a full meal and have a couple of drinks. They even had excellent gluten free bread for one our party. If you are gluten free you know how hard it is to find good bread at a restaurant.
The gin and tonic cocktails were really excellent
It wasn’t busy I assume because it’s not on the always busy Oude Gracht. Easy to get a table inside or outside.
Great place to chill and eat and refresh without stress
Rented a room here for 2 mornings with a group of colleagues. Including 2x lunch and 1x breakfast. Very well organised. They take everything into account. Gluten-free other dietary requirements. They coordinate well. Lunch is creative, tasty and healthy, extensive, fresh products. The breakfast was also delicious. The hospitality and service are fantastic. And the location, atmosphere, appearance very nice, living room atmosphere, friendly, inviting
Unfortunately an unimpressive experience; There wasn't much for me to discover here.
🪑 setting - a cozy and homely atmosphere. Lots of wood, and the theme is “travel” and the different parts of the world. Nice concept and nicely executed. We sat in the cellar, which was unfortunately a bit dark. If you are lucky enough to be on the ground or first floor, that is a nice place.
🧑🍳 service - was ok on first order and our drinks and food were brought quickly. After that, no one came by for an hour. We would have liked to order something.
🥗 food - unfortunately I had a mediocre experience with the camembert sandwich. The bread seemed to be two slices of “normal” supermarket bread that had not been buttered (as a good sandwich should be) and had not been clearly grilled. It was sparsely topped with thin slices of camembert, but not on the entire sandwich, so about 1/3 of the bread was bare. I also didn't think the red onion chutney was worth the name chutney. It looked more like a bowl of pickled onion pieces. I was unable to discover the walnut that is on the menu with this sandwich. Not worth repeating. There was also a fresh salad, which was tasty.
🍹 drinks - dirty chai was tasty and a nice large glass with a piece of chocolate.
🌱 Dietary needs - various vegan and vegetarian options, clearly indicated on the menu as well as gluten-free options.
🚽 facilities - neat toilet with facilities for babies.
💰 value - even though the prices are relatively friendly, I didn't think my sandwich was worth €8.
I think this place is more fun to have a coffee with a piece of cake. I wouldn't recommend it explicitly for lunch.
Went to Ruby Rose for the first time last weekend. What an atmosphere! Really crazy. We were with a large group and sat upstairs, which was also a beautiful place to sit/see, but you were in the air conditioning so it was very cold. The food was tasty but a bit lacking. Especially with such a large group. The service was nice but generally quite ignorant. (We had someone with a gluten allergy and each and every one of them didn't know which one was without gluten. At one point we got 1 for a pregnant woman and we didn't have that one walking around) and because the restaurant was completely full it took forever before you could order something that had not been discussed in advance. Would I come back again? I don't think so for dinner, but certainly for a drink at the bar!
Our favorite take away in Utrecht and surrounding areas! Many gluten and lactose free options. And it's so nice that all allergens are simply indicated on the menu.
Good experience, but a bit expensive for the amount. Gluten free options. Made reservation with discount from the fork and then they only had menus so the offer was not applicable
Fantastic dining experience richer after an evening at the Rum Club. The staff was so friendly and helpful, which was great for me with an intolerance to gluten, milk and egg. Really a lot on the menu was suitable for me to eat or could be adapted. We were here via Social Deal and had a fixed menu. A very tasty meal and ended with a dish of your choice from the menu: a delicious dessert. Cocktails were delicious too!
I’ve tried the pho, banh mi and bun here and they’re all so good. This is my favourite spot to bring people to try because there’s literally nothing bad on the menu :)))
Also so many great options for coeliacs!
We had a delicious, affordable lunch. Gluten-free is often difficult, so we always bring something for the youngest in the family. But it turns out they had bread for him so he could join in!
Delicious sweet potato soup for lunch, full flavour.
Lots of choice on the menu, pleasantly busy, friendly service. Good vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, as well as animal dishes. Right in the center. And when you go down the stairs you enter a cozy living room with various seating areas.
Lots of delicious cakes, drinks and dishes that are suitable for people who prefer not to eat lactose or gluten :) I had the lime cake bar and it was really delicious! The interior is really cute and cozy and the staff is friendly and helpful. I think it is often quite busy, so sometimes ordering can take a little longer, but just let us know and they will come to you.

Been twice now and really 10/10 both times!
Very friendly staff, the location is great, the restaurant is cozy/intimate but still has privacy at every table, the chairs are comfortable and allergies/food preferences are very well taken into account. For example, I am allowed 0 gluten (celiac disease) and this was no problem at all. There was delicious gluten-free bread and a gluten-free cake for dessert. Even gluten-free cookies with coffee!
Price-quality is particularly outstanding here: hence my favorable review. Wine pairing also highly recommended.
Beautiful restaurant in the middle of the Grifpark.
The menu included a delicious meal including pheasant breast in ham with sauerkraut stew. Was very tasty. Gluten-free was also no problem. Good service.
My favorite Korean restaurant! The food is delicious, pure, of top quality, the service is super friendly (a real treasure!) and the prices are incredibly affordable. This is also a great option for people with gluten or lactose intolerance. Worth a visit
I've been here several times at different times of day. Most recently, we enjoyed friendly, prompt service on a Sunday evening. While all other restaurants in Leidsche Rijn Centrum were closed earlier than usual, Buurten In De Bieb welcomed us willingly and offered us a relaxed environment in which to sip our drinks casually without feeling rushed. The menu is simple, yet tasty, with Gluten Free and Vegetarian options in addition to typical Dutch cuisine.
Nice interior, sometimes rush in service, menu great, but when mixed dietary nerds, like vegan plus gluten free then not many options a la carte. Great chef came in person, happy to prepare special tasty dishes accordingly.
The nachos tasted good and they were very considerate about my gluten allergy. The service was also very nice. We will definitely come back to try some other things on the menu.

Lovely spot by the canal. The place is big and cozy on the inside. The food was absolutely amazing. The plates were so big we could have actually shared. They have some gluten free options like the nachos and also a beer! Best nachos I ever had. Everything was just delicious.
The good:
Restaurant Hemel & Aarde is an aesthetically beautiful restaurant. A high ceiling with ornaments that are excellently (interactively) lit gives you the feeling of being in another world.
The service is of a good standard;
First of all, big kudos to the sommelier. The superhero of this restaurant; a sommelier to come back for. Rarely have I experienced wines paired so well that it was the wine that lifted the dish to a higher level instead of the other way around. Better than many 2-star places I've eaten at.
The service is well trained in the menu, wine list, table etiquette and most table ladies and gentlemen know how to find the right balance in terms of what each guest 'needs' in terms of approach. The place looks clean, the welcome is warm and the chairs are comfortable. There is sufficient distance between the tables. Dietary requirements and allergies such as gluten and lactose intolerance can be taken into account.
The bad:
The only points of criticism I would like to make about the service:
- the enormous pace in serving the wines and dishes. At one point I had three course glasses of wine on my table. I come here for dinner one evening. Adding a little more rest between courses increases anticipation and helps with the tasting.
- The non-alcoholic package was relatively pricey and the flavors were not always in balance. E.g. the drink with Mexican pepper was far-fetched with this dish and was unanimously compared by us to lemonade with Tex-Mex herbs. Two of the seven non-alcoholic drinks were surprising and tasty. For that price (almost as expensive as a wine arrangement) we expected a little more. Especially when you see what fantastic wine-food combinations are made.
The toilets are clean; it was just a matter of finding where to put the wet towel after drying hands (answer: in the hallway). This could be a little more intuitive for this level.
The ugly:
We chose the 7-course summer menu + wine arrangement, preceded by a number of amuses. Amuses were spot-on. The sourdough and homemade brioche were delicious. The 7 courses were excellent in terms of presentation and portion size; However, in our opinion the execution is not entirely flawless. 'Kingfish and oyster', slowly cooked 'beetroot' and 'langoustine with canteloupe' were tasty, but all had quite a bit of acid. However, the wines save the dish more than once. 'Bull zucchini with za'atar', 'farm quail' and 'sweetbreads with peanut mole' were not well balanced taste-wise and (much) too high in taste/too salty, which lost the taste of the key ingredient. A shame because the combinations were interesting. The summer king dessert craved more creaminess, which would have done much better justice to the sourness of the fruit coulis and the hardness of the pine nut and rosemary.
The verdict:
What remains for me is the price-quality ratio. We had to pay a total of just over 180 euros. If we add everything up, in our opinion the price is (too) high, especially because a number of dishes were not perfect in terms of execution, the pace of serving was not completely balanced, and the non-alcoholic arrangement was not up to standard. These are Michelin prices, while the level is not yet up to par in terms of taste. (saying nothing about the presentation, entourage and perfect wines). Therefore not (yet) the maximum number of stars. I would like to come by again in a while to give it another try.

I’ve lived in Utrecht for many years and always wanted to try this restaurant. Went for the first time today and it is also the last time. The food was ok but took over an hour to make. Not worth waiting that long for simple pasta. The waitress apologized and was surprised it hadn’t arrived. She wanted to give us free coffee and tea but we just wanted to leave. It would've been better to give a small discount if they were that sorry about the experience. The only positive was the restaurant does offer gluten free options.
Had lunch here twice and had a delicious meal both times. It is a beautiful place on the edge of Utrecht, close to a large walking area. Very cool to walk around the building. It was nice that I could get gluten-free bread with my soup.
I'm gluten free and it's not always easy. Here I could eat almost anything, we had a tasting menu and they adapted the dishes for me. I was very satisfied, everything was tasty, highly recommended!
