One of the best dining experienced we have ever had. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything that arrive at the table was phenomenal with fantastic tastes, even for members of our party who were vegan and gluten intolerant. The staff were friendly, funny, and importantly were extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine. If you are visiting Hobart, a visit to Aloft is a must.

Extraordinarily rude - we came in excited to get some gluten free breakfast and the cashier told us to leave, or get outside and come back in when we knew what we wanted and order - difficult if you’ve never been there before… There were open tables, but she told us to leave and come back when they were less busy - no wait list, no queue, no way to be called back. A bit confusing - I guess they were overstretched or maybe they just didn’t want to serve us because we weren’t regulars? Confusing - maybe steer clear unless you’re into abuse.

We were planning oysters and thinking lobster . We came across The Cannery - I rang and asked if lobsters were done gluten free . You can tell sometimes when people think you are strange this was one of this times. The lady said of course and hung up . So we ventured in and had some lobster . Service is not table you go to the counter they are busy and seem to brush you aside .

We enjoyed our stay in the 'Coastal Pavilion' with striking views across the water. We saw whales, seals, dolphins and White Belly Sea Eagles during the cruise. The additional touches in the cabin were welcome, including the delicious chocolates and games. The breakfast options had 'a bit for everyone' and they catered very well for a Coeliac (many gluten free options). Thank you for a peaceful stay!

We were fortunate to get a Monday 1.30 late lunch booking and whilst the restaurant was buzzing the service was great, even for the coeliacs. Highlights from the tasting menu were; crispy cauliflower, fish and the venison.
