The food here is great every time we visit. On our most recent trip, we opted for the lunch banquet, which offered fantastic value and gave us the opportunity to sample a variety of dishes. The team was very accommodating, even adjusting one of the orders to be gluten-free.
We were served by Isabella, who was just a delight. She was attentive, personable, and had such a warm and positive attitude. We’ll definitely be back!
The menu highly recommended the hot chips. We ordered it and the chips were served warm (photo). We send it back and asked for hot chips. It was served hot this time but hard and dry like it had been re-heated in the fryer. That was a bit disappointing. My partner was craving Spaghetti Bolognese commented the flavour was ok but it wasn’t al dente. My gluten free gnocchi was the better part of the meal. Overall the food served had no wow factor hence 3 stars
Food was good and good range of gluten free options, but cocktails are a joke. I paid $23 for a cocktail that I’m 90% sure had no alcohol in it at all, and what it lacked in alcohol it certainly made up for in ice. For me, if I’m going to have a nice dinner out, the cocktails need to be good. I could have bought 1/2 bottle of tequila for that price.
Ignacio the man, the myth, the legend - everything was 10/10. Coeliac friend had lots of options and they were all delicious. Would highly recommend Olé to anybody and everybody.
Met up with family. There were 7 of us so we had the banquet. Some of our group are usually keen meat eaters so we’re worried about leaving the restaurant still feeling hungry but that was not an issue. All of the courses were delicious. One member of our party is a celiac and usually is difficult to cater for but she ate everything also and said it was delicious.
Greek food would never fail you. Craving for another yiros wrap after having one in Melbourne. Friendly staff. Gluten-free pita available. delicious. But they all got one common thing, it's a bit pricy for the amount of food you get. Other than that, great taste, not too greasy. Pita tasted fresh. Clean professionally food packaging. Will come back for sure 😉
We had dinner here last night and it was amazing. The waiter Jimmy (the French guy) was funny and attentive. The lobster spaghetti was beautiful and so was the beef carpaccio. Very amazing gluten free bread!
Visiting Brisbane and caught up with family here, beautiful spot, staff friendly, meals were big pub style meals and delicious, options for gluten free.
Hubby and I have come here a lot over the past couple of years and we went this Friday evening for our anniversary. I haven't been able to eat gluten but found out recently I can have a little bit so was looking forward to coming here as I know their pizzas are divine. We have had incredible experiences with Seth and Aaron serving us and making us drinks (not sure if they are still working there). The service this Friday was not the best but it's hit and miss when it comes to the service, sometimes it is great sometimes not but the blokes on front of house seating people are ALWAYS friendly and welcoming. This time we had the arancini, bruschetta, salami pizza, panchetta and potatoes. As always the food was delicious and they also offer you to take it home. We will be back and recommend to everyone. If you are waiting for a table stop by next door to Maker for some delicious cocktails. Also have to say that it is priced very reasonably. We find that when we go to dinner at other places it costs double this place and it's usually nothing in comparison to Julius.
Really yummy restaurant and I love the falafels!!! They were gluten free too! The espresso Martini was not good though. Don’t order that. The portions are also very small. But cute and vibey ambiance to the restaurant!!
Stopped here for a late lunch (like 3pm), it was a miserable wet day but the restaurant was very cosy & warm. The staff were lovely. Hubby had a seafood platter & I had the GF Barramundi. The platter was a bit small for the money but lovely. The Barramundi was delicious & they were very mindful of the need for it to be Gluten Free for me. Overall it was really nice & we will definitely go there again next time we are in Brisbane.
Very average food at very high prices. Caesar salad advertised as having ‘honey charred chicken’ had smoked processed chicken. $30 for a bowl of cos lettuce a couple of bits of bacon, one anchovy and no egg is not ok. Turns out the online menu was different to the paper one, so paying via QR code is a lucky dip. Couscous salad is listed as gluten free, which could be dangerous if you aren’t switched on. Clearly they rely on foot traffic and beach patrons. Management seemed very non plussed by the issues and offered no compensation or apology other than ‘thanks for telling us’.
I took a chance on this place because reviews weren’t promising, but all 9 of my family loved the food and service. Menu has extensive gluten free options where taste and texture were similar to gluten food! Very surprised and happy with this restaurant. Thanks guys!
The chicken with the special 24 hr marinade is delicious, spicy level on choice. The staff is fairly friendly and hands the allergy list with the menu upon asking. The allergy list good structured. They are honest about the possibility if the food might contain even traces of gluten. That there are no gluten free burgers is still disappointing.
Enjoyed a delicious Pumpkin salad today. New to the menu. They stock gluten free Hahn beer as well. Staff were friendly and interacted with us. It is a lovely place to visit when in Brisbane.
Some of the yummiest and freshest bowls I've tried, and I eat a lot of poke! The ingredients are always so fresh. The pre designed bowl options are really carefully thought out but if you can't find one you like, you can design your own. Most of the bowls are gluten free or low gluten and dairy naturally as they're based on rice or a salad base like kale. Yummy and healthy, all around the $20 as at time of writing.
We ordered the chicken fried rice, hot chips and plain bibimbap. Fried rice and hot chips were both gluten free but the bibimbap was only GF if it was plain, not sure why they couldn't just add some chicken like in the fried rice lol but either way, everything else was delicious. They sadly don't have many other gluten free options but they made up for it in the deliciousness of the meals that were GF. Thanks staff for a lovely meal!
Even on a rainy evening, this place is just lovely. Fantastic food and even better service. Such great gluten free options too. One of my all time favourite places to go on date night!
My Mum and I went to this cafe before a medical appointment. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the prices of the meals were affordable. I had an Eggs Your Way and she had a Big Breakfast. We both loved our meals that we were so full afterward but couldn’t leave any of our meals behind!
My Mum is gluten, yeast and dairy free. They had a few options to cater to her. The cafe is wheelchair accessible as there is a ramp on the right side of the building. I didn’t check if they had an accessible bathroom.
It’s not advertised on their website, but if you can’t eat gluten, you can call ahead and order a gluten free crunchy chicken sushi roll! They also have a really yummy gf teriyaki sauce. Super accommodating - thank you!
