Coeliac gluten friendly.
Dined here a week ago when visiting Canberra. It was an amazing dining experience catering for gluten free needs. The whole restaurant is totally gluten free - wow! The waiter was superb and gave us very good suggestions for ordering our share plates. The live piano music really added to experience and ambience. The food was outstanding and a real treat for everyone in our group, but especially so for the Coeliac diner.
Loved the decor. Loved the staff. Loved the music. Loved the food.
Even if you don't require gluten free, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Gluten-free options shine here with incredible gluten-free buns that elevate the burger experience, crafted with care and generous, high-quality ingredients. The rustic, relaxed atmosphere with covered outdoor seating and heaters creates a welcoming space for coeliac diners seeking both comfort and flavor. While the menu offers variety including vegetarian and vegan choices, the focus on tasty, thoughtfully prepared gluten-free burgers makes this spot a standout for those prioritizing gluten-free dining.

I have had Brod before but this one didn't hit the spot. Firstly, the wait time was insane for a quiet Friday lunch and one burger order. I would hate to go on a busy weekend and be in a hurry.
Had a gluten free veg burger. Their gluten free bread was so dry - so many burger places in Canberra do gluten free bread well so this was disappointing. The thinnest driest haloumi slice drowned by oily vegetables that tasted half cooked which given the wait time seemed a bit silly. So much capsicum! The burger sauce had been poured on and was oddly spicy which must be to make up for the lack of seasoning on the cooked veges. I think I'll try the vegan burger instead next time.
Their onion rings had a thick batter which was a welcome change from other burger joints. Appreciate that aioli dipping sauce didn't come at an extra cost.
Staff were nice but one person in particular seemed incredibly fed up - as was I by the end of it all. Won't be going back any time soon.
Interestingly never had a bad experience at the one at Capital Brewing in Fyshwick.
This lively pub offers a cool college and sports bar vibe that complements its spacious outdoor area with excellent water views, creating a relaxed setting for enjoying meals. While gluten-free options are limited, the gluten-free smoked ham and pineapple pizza stands out as fantastic, delivering a delicious experience within the friendly, casual atmosphere. The unique sports bar ambiance and live music enhance the enjoyment of these specialty pizzas, making it a notable spot for those seeking gluten-free choices in a vibrant environment.

While there were multiple Gluten free items listed on the menu they don't have a Gluten free fryer which unfortunately stops Coeliacs from being able to order almost every Gluten free option which was disappointing.

Had a fantastic five course meal. Absolutely loved the crudo king salmon and melt in the mouth pepper steak. Truffle risotto was a close third place. Wonderful ambience and all round great evening. Was a great place to celebrate a quiet birthday with family. Chef went out of the way to cater for gluten free diet which was greatly appreciated.

Great atmosphere, excellent service (took amazing care of our gluten intolerant guest), and beautifully presented food. Some flavours were amazing (tomato consommé, vegetables especially the beetroot) but we were a little disappointed by some food that looked better than it tasted (meat that I would have liked rarer, potato stack). Great night out.
