Really good food, decent price and atmosphere. Gluten free. The thoughtfully crafted gluten-free offerings, such as the French toast and well executed smashed potatoes, are a testament to the kitchen’s attention to detail. I really like the complimentary tap water scene they have on the patio
The best cafe for anyone with anyone with allergies or diet restrictions. Gluten free options galore along with vegan butter and cheese! The best breakfast spot during a trip in Austin. The. One was eclectic and the staff were all very friendly.
Stopped by for a gluten free pizza. Staff was friendly, but pizza seemed a little overpriced - about $19 for a 10” pie.
Folks who have celiac: the ovens are shared. I don’t feel sick after eating there, but will update if I feel any pain.

I ordered a hibiscus margarita and cheese sticks with pepperoni, bacon and jalapeños with a side of marinara and ranch. I come here often and Jamie has been very sweet and attentive even during a chaotic rush. She makes sure all her tables are doing well and answers any questions about the menu. She offers gluten free pizza and desserts which are really good! Recommended trying their hubcaps, satisfies the sweet craving! Thanks for the great service Jamie! ☺️

Via 313 is my favorite pizza in Austin. You can never go wrong with the Detroit style pizza, the Detroiter is my go-to because of the double pepperoni. They also make really good meatballs and have an excellent gluten-free crust. Check out their Happy Hour!
What An amazing experience. Everything on their menu is freshly made, no overnight veggies all vegan and gluten free! The village is filled with trees and is a cozy vibe!
Finally! Gluten free pancakes that are perfect! I was so happy with my breakfast. I got the gf pancakes, fruit, and bacon. All were excellent. We went on a weekday morning and there was no wait. The staff were super sweet and the restaurant was clean. I’ll be back soon!
Grabbed lunch with our family and a friend. Our server was super accommodating for my wife’s gluten allergy and our active toddler. We’ve had date nights and lunch at Neighborhood Sushi and the food/service are 5 stars every time.
Love the patience and genuine friendliness of the staff, and the food was good! You can tell thought was put into texture and taste. Nice and casual spot for your omnis, vegetarians, vegans, and gluten abstaining besties.
Great Gluten Free (GF) options labeled on menu, although I wish places just had a separate GF menu. Pork chop & Peahces was phenomenal, along with the soup, Cesar salad, and meatloaf!
Usually no wait so reservations not always necessary.
Feels healthy.
10/10 experience! The vibe is so good here - gives a Tulum aesthetic. The service was fantastic. And the food! Fresh, delicious, flavorful. I went with my family and they all loved it!
This is a fantastic place for gluten free folks - no gluten in the kitchen!
Mr. Natural has been doing veg in Austin since 1988 and it was honestly refreshing to visit a vegetarian spot that harkened back to a time when the dining format was as unique in a veggie restaurant as it was to find one at all. Point being there is a little learning curve to dining at Mr. Natural in my opinion. You order at the counter, which is the same order spot for baked goods (which are in three different locations), take out, dine in, juice, grab n go or soft serve. So you need to know what you want (definitely preview the menu online) before you step up to the counter and what your objective is. The staff is very, very helpful and will explain the salad bar (which is a whole other thing) and the validated parking situation (which is another). If you get stuff to dine-in, staff will bring it out and call out your name. They will bring silverware but you are on your own to retrieve water (by the salad bar).
The other interesting throwback I am more thankful for is the food. Almost everything is made in house and is not overly sweet or salty. In this day and age of frozen beyond burger restaurants I could not have been happier. The mole enchiladas were excellent and I bought waaaay too many baked goods to go. I did not realize beforehand that Mr. Natural had the widest and best selection of vegan baked goods in the Austin area with many gluten free options and beautiful custom cakes! This place will go in my regular rotation and I highly recommend it for a breakfast option.

Overall, the atmosphere is fairly nice with very kind and friendly wait staff. True Food Kitchen has a well rounded menu with accommodates for vegetarian, gluten free, and vegan with clearly labled dishes for such. Additionally, the flavor profile is fairly diverse so if you are vegan like me, you will not be restricted to a single option and have a few choices to make.
Amazing. Got the G-Free Pesto Chicken Club with fruit. Absolutely delicious. The pesto and caramelized onions are an awesome combo (if somewhat messy, haha). It was presented excellently-- even had a toothpick sign declaring it gluten free.
Service was very friendly.
Food didn't come out super fast, but it tasted like the onions were freshly caramelized, and that takes time.
The atmosphere was great--a blend of retro diner and modern.
I am thoroughly glad I stopped in today.
I'm sad that Counter Culture is closing but grateful that I was able to enjoy it for so many years. This place was ahead of its time, offering vegan options before they were readily available at grocery stores, food trucks, etc. The cashew cheezecake is amazing, and I ordered several of them for my birthdays over the years. The gluten free mac'n cheeze is also out of this world. Thank you, Counter Culture, for showing us that we don't have to torture animals (or our own bodies) to enjoy our favorite comfort foods.
Delicious Korean fusion spot, with a great gluten free selection. Staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and guiding me to both gluten free and dairy free options (the latter not too hard in Asian cuisine).
The portions are large and an appetizer and main dish some could be shared amongst friends depending on how hungry you are.
Great donuts, lots of vegan and gluten free options. I wish I had found this place sooner.
I recently tried something other than the donuts here, wow. The macarons are perfection. I went to pick up some as a treat for the office and also got myself a kolache. Everyone was raving about how good the macarons and cake balls were. The kolache was amazing, the texture and flavor were masterful.
Absolutely incredible BBQ — way better than Franklin’s.
We visited Terry Black’s around 12–1 PM and were blown away. Despite the crowd, their process is super streamlined and efficient — the line moved quickly, and they still had all cuts of meat available.
We ordered the brisket, ribs, and jalapeño cheddar sausage, along with potato salad, mac and cheese, and peach cobbler for sides. Every single bite was amazing. The meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned — I didn’t even need sauce. That’s how good it was.
The potato salad was surprisingly dairy-free (and still delicious!), and they offer a great selection of dairy-free, gluten-free, and even vegan side options. The peach cobbler was the perfect sweet finish — warm, comforting, and packed with flavor.
The setup is also great with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. No complaints whatsoever. Terry Black’s is hands down one of the best BBQ spots in Austin — so much better than Franklin’s, in my opinion. Don’t miss it!
We haven't been to KL in awhile so we were excited when friends wanted to go. Not what it used to be.... Waiter messed up a couple of our orders. I ordered gluten-free platter but it came out regular & had to be remade. Everyone at our table was totally finished eating before mine finally came out. The waiter forgot the butter & syrup. Unfortunately, the scrambled eggs were cooked very thin and were like rubber and the pancakes were super dry & crumbly. Then it took forever for the waiter to separate the tickets but then got two of them wrong & had to get that sorted out. No manager ever came to ask how things were or to help the waiter out with the issues. We used to love Kerbey Lane. Definitely not worth it now.
used to really like this place but lately, half of the time I place an online order they cancel it immediately saying something in my order is out of stock... my order is a little hat combo. a burger, fries and a drink. why are you open if you don't have your restaurants namesake? doesn't make much sense to me. you shouldn't offer online ordering if you are just going to cancel it immediately.
their online ordering in the favor app is also broken. if you add a gluten free bun to your combo, it adds the surcharge to the drink, fries and the burger. it's cheaper to order everything separately which defeats the purpose of a combo.

Ate here for dinner with a friend tonight, absolutely delicious meal! Very impressed with their menu, everything we ordered was good! Plenty of gluten free items marked on their menu which made it very convenient for me to order. Only downside is the price - pretty expensive, so definitely an every once in a while or special occasion type of restaurant. Also skip the drinks, while they were good, they were pricey ($15-20), so save your money for the food!!
I was really excited to try the Original Pancake House after reading positive reviews, especially about their gluten-free waffles. As someone with a severe gluten intolerance, I was eager to finally enjoy a decent GF waffle. When we arrived, I made sure to clearly specify my need for the gluten-free option when ordering.
At first, everything seemed great. The waffles were delicious, and both my husband and I were impressed by how good they tasted, especially for a gluten-free version. However, a few bites in, I started feeling uncomfortable. At first, I thought maybe it was just me, but it quickly escalated. I had to rush to the restroom and realized something was very wrong. It turns out, after my husband checked with the waitress, we had actually been served regular, full wheat waffles—not the gluten-free ones I’d ordered.
This is a huge issue, especially for anyone with serious gluten intolerance or allergies. It’s not just a minor mistake—this could have been dangerous. I am extremely disappointed, and this is something that should never happen, especially when dietary restrictions are clearly communicated. It’s hard to trust a place that can’t get something so basic right. I won’t be returning, and I’d advise others with gluten sensitivities to be cautious.
Great place for food allergies, especially gluten-free and celiac disease. The menu has some great items, and everything is fresh and excellent quality. It's in a great area, so you can pop on for a quick lunch or dinner. Highly recommend 👌
I love this place and that they use healthier ingredients in their pizza. They use organic wheat for their crust, usually I have to eat gluten free but I am able to eat their crust. They also use olive oil which is much healthier the than the cheaper synthetic oils many restaurants use. I love pesto and their vegetarian pesto pizza is amazing! I also really enjoy their tomato sauce when I get a regular veggie pizza and like to add pineapple to it. Their custom cheese blend is great too!
Great variety of foods and a whole gluten-free menu. 😋 Very comfortable seating and calm atmosphere. Our food arrived quickly and tasted amazing. Definitely would recommend and definitely coming back!
Suzi was our waitress and she was wonderful! great service and she remembered my daughter and granddaughters from past visits! even remember that my daughter had a gluten intolerance! food was amazing too
Aiden was an energetic host and server that kept the coffee mugs full. The food was outstanding. The bake potatoe omlette was an unexpected yum (the green onions really made the flavor pop). My sister had plenty of gluten free options, her pancakes actually had flavor. Don't care for the diner look but I am old school. I miss the cozy home feel of the original location.
A long time Austin standard, Maudie's offers satisfying texmex with gluten friendly options. Going to the trouble of making the GF chips in safe fryers, they come in sealed plastic bags and are available upon request. Their breakfast tacos are loaded and delicious, but the enchilada plates are my favorite.
I ordered a gluten free burger with extra mayo and had it delivered through favor only to take two bites and feel like the bun didn’t taste gluten free. Not only was it not gluten free and I have an allergy to it but there was also no mayo. I’m warning don’t waste your money on this establishment, they don’t care about your order. They aren’t careful with allergies. After two bites I’m going to be sick all night,

Had the enchiladas, so good! They don't have flour tortillas, only corn. So lots of gluten free options! If you are a baby with spice, the salsa is spicy, lol. Drinks were good. We went on a Friday around 6pm and were able to be sat right away for two people.

I ordered the fries with the chicken which is listed as GF on the menu because I have a gluten allergy. They put some sort of beef on there and now I’m sick. No one is answering the phone so I can ask what they marinate their steak in that’s not gluten free. I’m trying to gauge how much gluten I got and how sick I’ll be tonight. Ugh such a bummer. Really wish restaurants would be more careful and just follow the order. How hard can it be?
**UPDATE** Loro management has gone above to remedy this issue and I have been really impressed by how they have handled everything. It makes me feel reassured that it is safe to eat there again in the future.
I have loved this place for years but warning to anyone with Celiac or a gluten allergy, I ordered the salmon entree for pickup and marked gluten allergy and celiac on the order only to find out after getting home that the new seaweed salad that it comes with is not gluten free despite the entree being labeled gluten free on the menu. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat any part of my meal due to cross contamination so definitely call and confirm the website is up to date before placing your order :(
We're visiting from out of state and were looking for a quick bite. We came in today around 1 and I believe it was Jared (maybe Jason?) that helped us out. He was super friendly and welcoming. He had a great attitude and was fun to talk with. Our food was super fast and yummy! Also, gluten free friendly which is great!
Great staff, good gluten-free selection of food, and the staff will help with recommendations if you can't decide. Their drinks are delicious too, if you're old enough for the bar menu.
Always fun to go and eat there.
We went for happy hour and they’ve got a great selection. I’m gluten-free and they were well-versed on what precautions to take and able to answer any questions I had about modifications.
An Austin staple. The owner has a great sense of humor and gives back to the community. We love taking our out of town guests there for a good beer and a great burger. They are also gluten friendly and the staff is allergy knowledgeable.
