Completely gluten free and Italian owned so you can buy niche products too, the restaurant two doors down as well is owned by the same people and the chef is an Italian celiac chef. His food is incredible and he specialises is seafood but also makes handmade pasta for each dish.
We have now visited three times . Twice in a afternoon for coffee and cake and this Christmas eve for evening meal out.
I found staff to be very helpful and patient. It as a good gluten free menu as my wife is gluten-free. It also has a good vegan/vegetarian choice as my daughter is vegetarian. It's also dog friendly so if you have a pooch it's a good place to go . Every time we have been it's been busy but we have always managed to get a table . Would recommend for all to enjoy
What amazing place came here with the wife for a little date and can’t get enough of it the food it’s beautiful and gluten free ,which is hard to come by would recommend
One of my favourite places to eat only ever had the dinner experience but also know they have wonderful afternoon tea option as well as lunch, breakfast and lobster and champagne nights. Seasonal produce and one of the few restaurants that is coeliac accredited as 2 of my family members suffer from a wheat and gluten intolerance.
As some one with food allergies i always end up disappointed with the limited options available but not here, so much gluten free choice, I was served by Sophie who reassured me that my food would be served separate and wouldn’t get mixed up, food was delicious and a full selection of desserts so not just sorbet! Lovely relaxing evening, great food and service, I will definitely be back.
Brilliant food - beef croquets to start were delicious, as well as the halloumi fries. Steak cooked to perfection, fish & chips and pork belly all delicious. Service was great, very attentive & helped with gluten free option. We had colouring for the children, and staff took time to listen to us. Thank you for a great evening and for looking after us so well Jamie, Lisa & Ellie. Bonus that we had the January offer too!
Very friendly welcome and a great menu for dining. Gluten-free fish and chips was available and delicious!
The chef's special pie of beef curry was fantastic and a great change from standard beef and ale.
Really pleased we popped in on the way to Buxton.
Lovely food and really nice restaurant. Couldn’t fault the food, large portions especially on the Sunday lunch. On Sundays you can only order the Sunday lunch menu, main menu is not available. Could also do with a longer reservation as we only just managed to squeeze in main and dessert in two hours. Also no main dishes that are gluten free due to Yorkshire puddings on the Sunday menu.
Was thrilled with my visit here. We drove over an hour to this board game cafe because it was the only one I could find that had gluten free food options, and it was so worth it. This place is definitely a new favourite for me and my friends.
The staff were all incredibly lovely and just so helpful, attentive and patient. 10/10
Lovely atmosphere and layout, it felt both cosy and spacious and is just a really well-done set up with nice lighting.
There is a huge range of games to play and lots of options for beginners. There were also a great range of games for sale.
The food and drinks were really great. My friend was blown away by the GF bagels and said they were amazing. All the food and drinks were so nicely made and presented and the service was really speedy as well.
Would highly recommend a visit here!
Fantastic gluten free, vegetarian food and treats. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our visit and couldn't resist taking away some sweet treats 😊
A wonderful local cafe with vegan and veggie options. Even have gluten free available. You can even do takeout whixh it a godsend if like me you never get free time!
Even has a little handmade shop section where you can buy some locally made gifts and a book shop/swap system! Very cool!
Brought a visiting friend from Australia in. Pub busy cus quiz night, but Lotte our server recommended the gluten free options of food and beer. Great evening!
Had a 'naked burrito bowl' here last week after looking at the great reviews. Unfortunately the portion was very meagre and the same price as the burrito, despite it not containing the tortilla wrap, and only one very small scoop of rice! It tasted okay but nothing special - the lime rice was cold, had no flavour, and they charge extra for cheese and guacamole. Nearly £10 for one scoop of rice, one of chilli, a handful of lettuce and salsa is outrageous. It's also disappointing that the vegetarian options are priced the same as the meat ones when they are clearly much cheaper to prepare. Being gluten intolerant and a foodie I'm also disappointed that the tacos are made on wheat tortillas which are not as tasty or authentic as corn/masa ones. Wouldn't return. If you want authentic Mexican food then I'd recommend Pellizco just doen the road!
We love The Shoulder of Mutton. Lovely cosy pub, friendly and helpful staff, fantastic food (including a full gluten free menu) and great selection of drinks. We always feel welcome and relaxed here, its a proper part of the community.
Love the red deer. Particularly big fan of the vegan fish and chips 😋 and the deep fried pickles.
Regular rotation and wide selection of real ale and other drinks.
Also, good selection of gluten free food.
