Amazing food! Lovely place to visit, and the staff are really nice. We had a super grumpy toddler upon arrival and they gave him crayons and a picture to colour to try and cheer him up. Our other son has Coeliac Disease and we searched for GF in Newcastle which is how we came across them and SO glad we did. If we ever come back to Newcastle we will definitely visit this lovely place again. Highly recommend, thank you
Delicious breakfast with easy adaptations for gluten free, good portions and all the cakes looked incredible!
The matcha vanilla latte was the most delicious drink I've had in a while! Thanks so much ☺️
We had a lovely time at City Tavern. We had a yummy lunch, including gluten free beer on tap. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian food options available. The vibe inside was lovely and the staff were really really nice and very attentive!! There was free wifi, free charging ports and very comfy chairs.
An added bonus is that they show movies for free at 2pm, 5pm and 8pm everyday on their giant outdoor screen!! Such a great vibe, definitely recommend as a stop in during a day in Newcastle.
Staff very welcoming, food was excellent, decor was really unusual and lovely, dogs allowed here. Gluten free options available. Very popular. It is in the student area of Jesmond.
Tables are a collection of different things, like and old school desk, or sewing machine stand.
A very enjoyable experience.
On our return journey home to St Helens we were looking for somewhere to stop and have breakfast that catered for my wife who is coeliac and needs gluten-free options.
Well this place is perfect, just 2 minutes off the A69, with parking at the rear or on the main road. It’s a quiet village so no problem parking. However you may need to book in advance as this place is popular, and no wonder.
What made our visit all the more pleasant was the people, not just the staff, also the locals, especially Gladys and Nellie, and they were just two dogs on the next table (adorable Cocker-poo’s) their owners were equally as nice and have to mention Billy another lovely local guy.
Anyway, we had two full breakfasts, my wife had gluten-free toast and sausage and have to say it was beautiful.
There was also a selection of gluten-free cakes available (if you just wanted a cake and a brew after a walk), we decided to take two slice of the gluten-free lemon drizzle cake home in a box, which I’ve just finished and was equally as tasty.
The perfect end to a great weekend (hello to the two lovely ladies we may see you camping one day) and thank you to all at the Hearth Cafe ❤️
Scarlett was fab when we came for bottomless brunch. I have a gluten allergy and Scarlett made sure the food was gluten free. Would definitley recommend!
I feel so lucky to have Wokify close to my home. A great range of tasty food and the staff are always willing to go the extra mile. I tend to come and get take out, my food is made quickly while I wait in the seating area.
I have Coeliac disease and I’m able to choose from a variety of dishes that can be made gluten free. I feel safe eating here with my dietary requirements.
Gracie excellent and catered to our dietary needs celiac and vegan and no rolled eyes as we usually get elsewhere. Excellent service at the Kenton Bank
We had an amazing meal at Kiln at the weekend. The staff were incredibly helpful with my partner's dietary requirements. He's dairy and gluten free, and the chef came and had a chat with him to see what would be best to order. His food came out on a separate plate as well to avoid any contamination.
I loved it here and can't wait to visit again.
Fantastic hidden gem. The staff are all wonderful, friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and they cater for everything, vegan, gluten free (which can be hard to find) vegetarian, and us regular eaters.
They have a brilliant range of ales and beers they are definitely worth trying out, they are happy to give you a taste before you buy any pints.
Really is worth a visit if you ever that way down the Ouseburn 🙂
Great stuff! Perfect little coffee place, nice treats and wonderful staff! Nice gluten free selection and vegan too! (The coffee is worth the trip alone)
We had several dishes from the menu, all with sides. Great recommendations from Delijah the shop manager. They also do vegan and gluten free options which was great for my son.
Delivery was quicker than advertised on just eat so that was great. Also the delivery driver was very friendly and helpful. We were advised to order from their website directly in future as there are considerable savings to be made.
We will be making this place our regular spot for Chinese food!
We happened to call in here on the way to see a band. There was a great female singer on. Not sure if this is every Saturday night, but was nice to hear some music.
We looked at the menu and as I am GF this place has a great selection of non gluten containing foods.
The drink selection was excellent and prices reasonable.
Would definitely go back.
Lovely food and coffees. The staff were very accommodating and went out to get me gluten free bread to have with my all day breakfast. Would definitely like to return for drinks. Lovely friendly atmosphere.

A good afternoon/evening was had by my group & other customers whilst l was there aprox - 4 pm - 9.30pm, the Heaton Tap has an interesting selection of beers/ciders on draught & prices are reasonable.
Bar snacks are available plus l think l saw pickled eggs on sale behind the counter.
Bar service was fast but be patient & have a chat with the person behind you whilst waiting.
Not forgetting the gluten free beers/beers/ciders in the wall drinks cabinet.
The Heaton Tap is a very intimate & cosy establishment, & you may end up making friends with the folks on the next tables & who know you may become regulars (if you are not already) at the Heaton Tap.

Veganatomy is a place of delicious genius! The creativity and taste is phenomenal! The owner is so lovely as well - I really hope her business continues to flourish, because it's an absolute gem! So annoyed I no longer live in the North East, because if I did, I'd be here all the time! And it's coeliac friendly too!
I really want to give this place 5 stars as it is amazing, and the food they have to offer looks so good.
HOWEVER as a gluten free vegan I was left with very little choice (a bit like being vegetarian back in the 90’s/00’s with only that ONE veggie lasagna as a choice). What I did get (jackfruit shawarma minus bread) was very delicious. More gluten free options needed.
