This food was the best food I had on my trip. It was a perfect dinner spot with gluten free options. I will not stop thinking about the tempeh appetiser I had. The staff were beyond lovely and attentive. Sitting on the patio was a gorgeous.
Wow I just love this place so much! The food is absolutely amazing, some of the best brunch in Brighton & Hove. And the best service. Such a warm family run business. I felt very well taken care of. And such a relaxed peaceful atmosphere. A little gem of a place. Definitely a new favourite. I’ll be coming back regularly.
Ps I’m gluten free and the chef made me amazing gf french toast!
We live nearby having moved last summer (2024) and have been here a few times now as a couple and with visiting friends. The food is nice and varied so good for those with different tastes. They catered for my mum with coeliac disease (gluten free menu), and had a veggie menu. Nice couple who own the place often there at lunch time. Fresh food. Recommended! Also they have a disabled access toilet upstairs which would have been helpful for my late dad with mobility issues.
Nostos has an authentic Greek feel, great music and atmosphere. Food is really good and they could cater easily for my gluten free diet. They also welcomed our dog which was a bonus. This restaurant is surrounded by very good restaurants but this is the top choice for us. We could actually watch the sun set from our table inside the restaurant. Service was exceptionally good. I can't fault it!
Superb intimate local place with an excellent wine list and lovely food. We were a part of two with some diary restrictions for gluten and dairy and their menu had some lovely plates and gf bread that met our needs, they were also delicious, especially the oyster mushrooms, sardines and divine olives!
Highly recommend, the young Spanish lady who looked after us at the bar was clearly passionate and highly knowledgeable about the wine and pairing options and super welcoming.
Great experience all round, thank you for a lovely Friday eve bite team!
Nice looking restaurant with a good view but was quite disappointed by the gluten free options, found out after ordering a gluten free burger that they couldn’t do it gluten free, was offered a salad instead which came with less food than the gluten option but cost the same. Similar with desert, the “gluten free” pudding had something removed to make it actually gluten free despite the menu saying it was gluten free rather than something that would be adapted to be made gluten free.
The desert itself was quite unpleasant as the poached pear was really hard and the honeycomb was burnt. Similar issue with the salad I had as my main which was incredibly acidic.
Overpriced and staff didn’t really check on our food so we didn’t get to comment until we were done. I’d come back for drinks but that’s all.
Found this quintessential Italian restaurant in George street whilst looking for a non chain coffee break. We received a warm greeting and chose a table outside for our coffee.
We saw that they catered for gluten free dietary requirements and asked to see the menu. The server introduced himself as Giuseppe( I’m assuming the owner) and was only too happy to discuss the menu and how it is produced. This made our decision to return later for lunch, reserving a table.
The food, atmosphere and staff are superb, friendly and good knowledge of the menu including the GF options. Another welcoming ‘must eat at ‘ venue if you have a GF diet or fancy authentic Italian cuisine with excellent quality food and reasonably priced. Will certainly visit again😎
