Went here yesterday for my sister’s bday. Ordered scrambled egg on toast. It arrived like slop on the plate. Had been done in a microwave and hadn’t been scrambled. Toast was on the side and not buttered with no butter alongside. Completely tasteless. The only thing that saves it is the lovely waitress who was really nice and the gluten free caramel cake which was delicious. Won’t be back though as overpriced and too rustic for my taste.

Went here the other day because the wife is coeliac and it said that it was good on Google, was a mistake to say the least, the door lady asked if we had a reservation after looking us up and down and proceeded to act like they had no tables even though the place was half empty made me feel unwelcome straight away, eventually she seated us and then they took our order, payed £6 for a glass of what was supposed to be fresh squeezed orange juice which was about 60% ice and water. The food was great well cooked, bit pricey but still ok... the other server was pretty polite in taking our order but my wife explained she was coeliac and hers had to be gluten free (which they advertise on their menu), about 15 mins after finishing my wife started to get a scratchy throat which is her first reaction to gluten, it's been bad for two days now, my wife is sure that they gave her normal bread with her eggs which is an absolute joke when they specifically said they could do gluten free. At the very least they managed to contaminate her food and caused her to have a reaction. Payed them 40 quid for eggs on toast and a small fry up, one tea, one coffee and the watery orange. Wouldn't go back, place was quiet and food well prepared but tables are pretty tightly packed triggered my anxiety a bit coupled with the way we were greeted and my wife being fed gluten, absolute joke.

Great food and service. They have lots of gluten free options in the menu (burgers, fried and dessert)!

The tearoom is a lovely spot with lots of charm but the food and service were pretty awful. £14 veggie breakfast and every item was cold, undercooked, and really unpleasant to eat - they forgot to toast the toast then took about 15 mins to do so when asked. The bread was inedible, as was the gluten free cake I ordered. The menu descriptions didnt macth what they brought, and we had to keep asking for butter and other things they'd forgotten then turned out they'd run out of key ingredients so the plates were half empty. Gutted as this place used to be delicious. Big roast lunches downstairs looked and smelled good but avoid the tearoom
