Had to go to Hull Royal early for an appointment, so after that went to find somewhere to eat.Passed a few places which didn't appeal until we saw Furleys. At first look menu didn't appeal to me, but then I looked closer.Great selection, from wraps to burgers,to kebabs to,chicken and stuffing ciabatta, with roasties and gravy! What's not to like.Veggie options as well, and coeliac and gluten free options as well! This was washed down with a bottle of Peroni. However if you like craft beer and cider then this is the place to go.The list of craft beers etc is incredible! It's very dog friendly, there's a room upstairs for you to take them, there's even a menu for the dogs, ie proper dog friendly meals ( not human food in disguise) Staff extremely friendly and very very helpful.Very popular place,if visiting at a weekend be advised to book as gets busy, because so popular.Highly recommend a visit
Quiet but lovely. Shame its quiet on a week night but I don't think people know its open... lovely place, gluten free and really accommodating. Recommend
We went out for an early fathers day tea yesterday. The food was amazing! As a coeliac, been able to order practically anything I wanted off the menu was so refreshing! We all ordered something different and not one of us were disappointed with what we got. Everything was super tasty!!
The staff are really lovely too.
Fab place, highly recommend and will definately be coming back!
Lovely place to visit and eat. Visited again today and the quality is amazing along with the presentation and prices.
Gluten free is available. Friendly staff and a warm welcome always.
Had lunch with my sister here today. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Everything tasty and hot. The attention to detail and the owners knowledge of gluten free alternatives was impressive.
I popped into Baldwin’s just before 12:00 for a cuppa and a cake. I usually eat gluten free so was very pleased to see the salted caramel brownie was gf. It was amazing!
I also had a cup of tea in a really lovely mug. Sadly no oat or soya milk.
It’s ages since I’ve been around that area of Hull so had no idea about Baldwin’s. It was light, airy, immaculately clean with colourful chairs and lots of tables.
The cafe soon started to fill up with people having lunch ( the menu looked very good!) and portions were generous.
Recommended!
Chairs uncomfortable, venue cold. Several times there was noone at the bar and a considerable wait when we went to buy drinks. Only appeared to be one or two staff working. Cocktails in can is disgusting at price that is charged and wish this had been made clearer as would not have ordered cocktails if I knew they were from cans. Said cocktails were as disgusting as expected ice was not offered and incorrect glasses used margarita tasted like fairy liquid, espresso martini sacharin sweet, (you have coffee machines these could easily been made). Less gluten free options than previous visits.
