If you have celiac disease, this is the best restaurant in Vienna. You'll feel perfectly cared for there and have all your gluten-free dreams fulfilled. Unfortunately, the prices have risen quite a bit in recent years (like everywhere else)...
Extremely delicious Wiener Schnitzel, both gluten-free and regular. A huge variety of gluten-free options, including dessert. Everything from Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes) to chocolate soufflé, leaf salad, and finally, the Wiener Schnitzel, 10/10. Very friendly staff, and a nice, quiet spot in the center of town. We went there three times during our short stay!
Gluten free- was amazing very tasty. When asking for GF bagel they asked if it was important to prepare in separate area which they did and wore new gloves and toasted in cover to reduce cross contamination. Good choice options. Would recommend for celiacs

I've never written a review before, no matter how disappointed I was... but the gluten-free pizza was by far the worst pizza I've ever had, and I feel obligated to warn my celiac friends... go for the risotto instead. I would recommend the restaurant make their own dough, then you can afford to charge an extra €4 for it.
The food here is always so so so good! The staff is always very friendly, and they mostly offer vegan and gluten-free meals. The SG is especially recommended in the summer, when you can sit in the garden, which is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Mariahilferstraße. Unfortunately, it's often full because there aren't many seats available—it's best to make a reservation well in advance.
We always enjoy ordering!
Whether it's pizza, pasta, or schnitzel... it tastes wonderful. We especially like the fact that they offer the option of ordering gluten-free dishes.
I had the French bagel, it was delicious BUT it's goat cheese with a skin around it, so if you don't like that, you should get a different bagel :). There are also lots of vegetarian and vegan options, and they're gluten-free!
Great location in a historic Viennese Cafe. Food choices are typical Austrian fare- Schnitzel, Asparagus, Steak, Salads, Fries, Pancakes, ice cream
Limited menu for gluten intolerant but dishes are good.
I just ordered a burger from wolt without lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and a gluten-free bun instead of the normal bun because I can't tolerate wheat and also have other food intolerances. Unfortunately the burger arrived normally and I couldn't eat it, which at this price hurts not only because of the waste of food... I won't be able to order there anymore. Too bad!
Unfortunately, the portions there are too small for us, although they're quite tasty. My girlfriend and I were still hungry afterward yesterday. I ordered a gluten-free salami pizza for €13.40.
Couldn’t recommend this place more! We have the pork, beef and veggie taco, all were delicious! Tortilla chips were real (IYKYK) & they had a large selection of Mexican sodas. Staff was so friendly. For those who need it, a great Gluten Free selection. We will be back soon!!
I was looking for a breakfast place in Vienna, and this was an amazing spot to stop! Very busy when I went, but I was able to find a table and be served quickly and kindly. I am celiac, so the gluten free bread was a great addition and the eggs were delicious! The flat white was also one of the best I’ve had. Highly recommend coming here!
We went for breakfast. We found a comfortable place since we went early in the morning. We ordered two different breakfasts. In my breakfast, the tomatoes that were supposed to be roasted were not roasted, but the breakfast was delicious. In the other breakfast, we changed the breads on the side to gluten-free ones, which was a nice opportunity and it was delicious. In general, what we ate was very delicious. When we first sat down, they immediately asked if we wanted something to drink and we said no. Later, while ordering breakfast, they asked if we wanted something to drink and we said no. They kept asking if we wanted something to drink and we kept saying no. Also, the waiters kept looking at you and asking if you finished your food or if you finished, you were under constant surveillance and this is really not a rude behavior!
wow!! What great food!!
It's amazing that there are gluten-free options.
We also invited you
The pancake and also the excellent dessert!!! And we haven't seen this dessert in all of Vienna yet.
After a few days, we also decided to order the gluten-free Kaiserschmarn through the Walt from them, and it was also excellent.

I've enjoyed going to Schopenhauer for years. Either for breakfast or simply for a coffee. All breakfast dishes can also be made with gluten-free bread and cakes are usually also available in gluten-free form. All in all a very cozy cafe
Specialty coffee place in Vienna. Won the Austrian coffee championship and also Europe/Austria best coffee place. Really nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The coffee is really good and the cakes are of great variety. We tried the vegan banana bread which was amazing (even for a non vegan) and the gluten free chocolate banana salted caramel…..reallyyyyy good. Must try!
I came from Graz with my mother for lunch and we were treated very kindly at the reception. In general, the service was very courteous and had the classic Viennese humor, but without being arrogant. Now to the food: My mother ordered a classic goulash, and I ordered a gluten-free chicken schnitzel due to gluten sensitivity. We were both very satisfied, the price was absolutely justified based on both the quality and the quantity. We were also both very happy with the coffee and cake. The naturally gluten-free Esterhazy, for example, was excellent, and the wide selection of newspapers was a pleasant bonus. All in all, the early afternoon at Café Hummel brought some light into rainy Vienna. We will definitely come back when we are in Vienna again!
A Greek restaurant with a very varied menu and the food was excellent. Also suitable for those who eat gluten-free since the gluten-free dishes were marked on the menu and the staff knew how to answer questions about it.
Since I/we were here...I haven't been able to eat or order pizza anywhere else. And certainly not in my old home in Hesse. Dough is a blast, easy on the stomach. It's also available gluten-free (my partner loves the G-free pizza)... and I can see my wife beaming.
Toppings are suitable in every way, and the portion of garlic doesn't bother you in any way.
We always get a place (funnily enough, always the same). Even if the ambience isn't my thing... it's absolutely made up for by the service (super nice and fulfilling every wish) and the great taste and consistency of the pizza.
I don't want any other pizza anymore.
Thanks for the great product.
Many thanks to the ef16 team for this wonderful evening. We fell in love with this small and very cozy restaurant from the first moment.
When I asked for gluten-free food via email, I quickly received a response saying that it wasn't a problem.
After our arrival we had 2 delicious and exceptional aperitifs, with something for all tastes.
Our food and drinks were mainly served by Max. He was very friendly, answered all of our questions, was funny and very accommodating. We felt very comfortable with him.
The food was absolutely outstanding and to the point. We had the 4 course menu with wine accompaniment. Both the gluten-free version and the “normal” version were absolutely top. After the first two courses, we were each asked whether we would like to continue straight away or would we prefer a short break.
The audience was international and English was not a problem.
We can recommend the ef16 without reservation and would be happy to come back.

This is an amazing place. I'm vegan as well as soya and gluten-free. That doesn't leave me with many options, but here at Cafe Harvest, I had a real meal. The atmosphere was very cosy and the staff were very helpful.
I had the beyond burger meal with a glass of the house read, and it was beyond wonderful. 😊
Thank you.
Excellent restaurant. Interesting tasting journey, especially considering that the dishes are all vegetarian and vegan (I think also gluten free but I'm not sure, the waiters immediately ask at the beginning if there are any intolerances or unwanted foods, well done). Well balanced dishes, you can see that there is a lot of research and careful use of the ingredients. I ate more than I expected. The quality/price ratio was well above my expectations (unfortunately in Vienna a high price does not always correspond to tasty food or food prepared with care and experience). I highly recommend it, especially to vegetable lovers (vegetarians, vegans and otherwise). I will definitely return, also to discover new dishes (all strictly local and seasonal).
We went there because of the gluten free options. In the menu there were several gluten free cakes and macarons, but the waiter recommended just one cake and the macarons as really safe. We tried both, and they were good.
Had a wonderful time here! Cocktails were lovely and the food was amazing. As a coeliac, they catered for gluten-free also!
The vibe is chilled and it was very busy the whole time, definitely recommend booking before you arrive!
How beautiful, authentic, cozy—how lovingly detailed the ambiance is! Enchanting! The cakes taste so good, and some of the selections are gluten-free. The concept is social, and the people who work here are very kind. Excellent value for money. Be sure to reserve a table online.
We love this place - a real, authentic, non-tourist-overrun cafe with a cool social mission (they employ asylum-seekers and refugees as servers). There's the usual wonderful Austrian food, beautifully done, as well as a few vegan options and even gluten-free fresh, hot Semmel (Kaiser rolls). A total winner.
A great place for weekend brunch. For people with celiac disease there is the option to choose gluten-free bread for breakfast and vegetarian/vegan options are also available. The service is very courteous and the price-performance ratio is right.
