Fantastic place for excellent fish and chips. Gluten free options and the Scampi is delicious. Seems to be busy all the while and we now know why. Inside seats available.
Extremely helpful and kind staff. Very aware of all types of allergens not just coeliac so added bonus
In my opinion it’s the best food in Plymouth with so much sweet and savoury variety
A fantastic meal, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, reasonably priced.
Excellent choice of gluten free foods.
Our waiter Ryan was the best and very helpful 🫶
Popped in on the off chance with no booking & luckily managed to get a sitting. Fabulous food, great service, lovely atmosphere. As a coeliac it's hard to eat out but very knowledgeable about coeliac disease & had separate fryers, cooking areas etc. Definitely 5 star service. Thank you.
Me and my partner went to the cosy club yesterday! The service was super fast and the waitress that served us was lovely, friendly and very prompt! She made us feel very welcome. We didn’t have any issues and we enjoyed our time there.
I am GLUTEN FREE and Ive always struggled to find restaurants to eat in where I actually like the food but here I enjoyed the food. I had the double smash burger with fries and it was amazing!! Not one fault in the food what so ever they displayed my allergy flags and was cooked just the way I like it! We will definitely be returning when we come back to Plymouth! Well done guys 👏
Honestly the most sensational hidden gem, my partner and I stumbled across Cosmic Kitchen looking for something to cater to my allergies (gluten and dairy)
Turned out to be the perfect birthday evening.
Welcomed really warmly by the lovely server/ bartender who was super knowledgeable, kind and understanding about my allergies (gutted I never got their name)
Hands down the best Pina Colada I've ever been recommended/served, delicious vegan DOC wine as well.
Really relaxed cosy atmosphere, stylish layout with mellow music.
Also super grateful to have multiple options for dessert from the pudding counter (we took away a vegan peanut butter cup which was out of this world.
I love the fact they host music nights, will definitely visit again in the future
We were a party of six, midweek evening. Starting with the positives, the £30 ploughmans sharer was top notch! Generous amount, fresh & great quality. Will be returning just to have this again. The steak burger and sea bass were also enjoyed. Servers were friendly, however the one lady we had taking our order couldn't answer any of our questions re allergens or specials without having to keep running to the kitchen. She had no idea about the seafood specials that had been advertised as available on social media (after she checked we were told that they weren't ready yet). Unfortunately not coeliac friendly, VERY limited options for any dietary requirements - only 2/3 gluten free options and even then we were told they couldn't guarantee it would be completely safe. Two of our party tried the chicken tikka, this unfortunately did not hit the mark at all. Large cubes of tasteless chicken and a sauce that seemed like it came from a jar, sadly didn't go down well at all. Definitely not worth the £20 price point, expected fresh shredded chicken and homemade sauce at that price. Atmosphere was very noisy, music too loud. Overall an enjoyable meal and we will return for the fab ploughman's but might wait until the menu is expanded a little and things have settled - sadly wouldn't recommend for anyone with dietary requirements.
Great place with lovely garden. Amazing coffee selection and large menu with several clearly labelled Vegan and Gluten Free options. Staff are attentive and super friendly. Highly recommend. Visited for breakfast, brunch, coffee and cake and gave never been disappointed.
Friday lunch with family. I have celiac disease and was really impressed with the service to make sure my meal was gluten free. I was even given gluten free soya sauce.
The food was delicious, the service 5 star and beautiful surroundings.
Highly recommend the Plymouth Wagamama's, I will return again and again.
Amelia was just the best hostess! From her patience with all of my kids and hubby to her great suggestions from the menu and the summer specials! The food was good but her presence made the visit even better. You will definitely see us back. Also thank you for all of the gluten free options. My daughter had a much nicer eating out experience.
Lovely welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, quick service even though it was busy but above all delicious food!!
Very good value for money too - the dish I chose was half a chicken and it was so big I asked for a dish to take some of it home!
Gluten free foods are clearly marked on the menu with several dishes including desserts to choose from.
It was so good we are going back again exactly a week later this coming weekend for a birthday meal!
I joined my friend and her family (six people in total), who had met together following the passing of a close relative of theirs. The service was very poor and our order wasn't put through. It was only when my friend's sister asked why we were waiting so long, when other people around us who had ordered after us, were eating, that the manager came over to us to tell us that the server had forgotten to put our order through to the kitchen. This was very disappointing, as we had already been waiting a long time before we said anything. The manager told us that she would arrange for us to have some garlic bread while we waited. This was no good to me as I am gluten and lactose intolerant. I was starting to feel quite light-headed with the long wait for the food. Unbelievably, the garlic bread was also forgotten and left on the side, ready to be delivered to us. Once again, we had to chase this up. Our food, which was fine, eventually arrived, and the one positive outcome of our disappointing experience, was that we weren't charged for the food, which we appreciated. We chose this restaurant as it is accessible for my friend, who has mobility issues, but we are unlikely to be visiting again.
Spent this after with a friend eating fab food, beautifully presented in a chilled and welcoming atmosphere. Excellent service from the friendly staff and fully catering for gluten free. Definitely will be visiting again and would recommend to everyone.
The band was a wonderful addition to the casual lunch experience. I enjoyed my food as always and Natalia was very helpful when I was navigating the menu as I am Gluten intolerant. I always recommend !
This place is superb - go here! I went with my wife for a last-minute date. The atmosphere is lovely, unassuming and perfectly pitched for casual dining. Service was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. And the food! Everything we ate was delicious. My wife is coeliac and was accommodated perfectly. I had one of the best fish stews I have ever eaten with far more fish than you could shake a stick at, Rosie had an adapted mackerel dish which somehow made the mackerel feel delicate (I’ve been off mackerel for a while but this dish firmly put me back on to it!). I suspect this is going to become a favourite!
This restaurant when asked could cater for my daughter and I who are coeliac. When we got the menus gluten free options were shown with a star.
There were few stars, when asking the manager he said just the menu ask me ignore the stars ??
I asked for the starred sweet potato fries with a salad, no can’t have them!
To say they cater for gluten free diners is misleading and disappointing.
We deserve better give us a menu with clear options.
Lovely looking pub in a picturesque part of Plympton. Great service from Emily and her team. Fantastic food too with proper gluten free options. Loved the corned beef fritters! Would highly recommend.
Disappointed..
We went to the mutley plain location for takeaway coffee and brownie, after finding out that they dont do anything gluten free we ordered the kinder bueno brownie from my husband and two take away coffees we were then told to wait outside and they would be brought to us evthough there was only 3 people sat at tables, after 20 min i began to get cold so stepped inside and waited by the door the waitress asked what i was waiting for and i said coffee she then went to check and found our ticket still by the till as an apology for the wait she gave us a biscoff doughnut which was a nice thought but a bit of a waste as its not a flavour me or my husband would eat and when i got back to the car we found they had given us the wrong brownie you have guessed it it was a biscoff one, as well as only half a cup of coffee after waiting for over half an hour for takeaway coffee we didnt have time to go back to correct it which left us disappointed who knows how long i would have been waiting out in the cold as no one was fufilling our order i doubt we will be going again it definatly seems more set up for sit in rather than take away.
This is the second time I have made a booking online in advance after having looked at the menu online for the Plymouth restaurant. However, on arrival on BOTH occasions (first time being 7th October 2024 and second time being 2nd January 2025) and once seated, the menu that was presented to us appeared very reduced and was nothing like what is shown online for this restaurant. Very disappointing indeed. On 2nd January, we had an infant with us and there were no napkins on the table nor were we given any. My daughter had to resort to using toilet paper to wipe her son's mouth and hands. In addition, the gluten -free options were very limited and not much choice - again, not in accordance with the online menu. Will never go back and certainly would not recommend.
we visited this pub this week and have to congratulate them on their welcome, good value food and for going that little extra - one of our party has a gluten intolerance and they got the chef to come out and show him what was OK for him to order off the menu. great service, great food highly recommended.
What a cute little place to stop by and have lunch! 10/10.
A simple menu with awesome options.
The hot drinks are delicious and the food is prepared and served with great care! (It was also super tasty, I had the greek pita with halloumi).
The staff are sweet, kind and charismatic.
The price point is fair for the portions.
Many gluten free and vegan options are also available and needs are taken into consideration.
They also have a large selection of sweet treats.
I will be happy to return to lunch :P
Great little pick-me-up for your midday slump!
My Father and I decided to come in for a bacon, brie and cranberry wrap (we had one in the past and recalled that it was delicious). My Dad is a coeliac so he asked for his to be gluten free and double checked that one was just before he paid, the girl on the till said that she had put it through as such. We waited for over half an hour for two wraps to arrive. When they did eventually arrive neither wrap was made gluten free, if my Dad didnt ask when the plates were sat down then he could have been hospitalised. The girl that handed us our food didnt offer an apology, she just gave us bad attitude. She took the plate away and we waited another 20 minutes for the wrap to be brought out. The wraps themselves were lack luster to say the least. You would expect that a bacon, brie and cranberry wrap would have at least a little bit of cranberry sauce in but none was to be found in either wrap. Just a mountain of bacon and barely any brie.
I hope the owner of this place reads this as you also need to desperately train your staff in food hygiene and safety. The hour that my Father and I was sat there we saw the milk steamer being used for 4-5 drinks before being cleaned with a cloth, when it was eventually cleaned it was with a cloth that was used to wipe down the extremely dirty sides. The walls and floors of the restaurant were incredibly dirty, there were bits of food that had clearly been there for a while. One member of staff was putting away cutlery and found a dirty fork. Instead of taking it back and cleaning it they just picked the food off of it and put it back in the cutlery holder. Theres much more that i could write but i dont want to take uo anymore of your time.
I have to say that i am disgusted at how this establishment ran itself during our stay. I dont think I will be coming here ever again and will be recommending that my friends and family dont come here either.
I look forward to your response
Having discovered this place, I now find it very difficult to walk past.
The staff always make me feel very welcome.
On arrival I'm immediately provided with water and biscuits and they open a tab for me.
They are human friendly too.
The food is far superior to the much larger venues located nearby.
Specific favourites are The cream Teas, the Harrisa Baked Egg and the Salmon and Cream Cheese on gluten free toast..... Not to mention the gluten free carrot cake.
Great coffee, good Wines and house cocktails make this a must place to eat and/or drink and one which I strongly recommend.
The venue has recently fitted sliding glass doors which should now hopefully enable my human walking companions to be able to enjoy this place during the winter too.
It'll be good to see you there (especially if you have gravy bones) Teddy the Cockapoo -
Had a lunch here a couple of weeks ago. Although not labelled, the gluten-free knowledge was good. I had a salad with grilled fish. It was cooked to perfection and had no after effects. I will go back and reccomend for gluten free lunch.
