The truth is that the overall experience is very good. We went for the gluten-free options, and the celiac member of the family ordered spaghetti Bolognese, which looked delicious. The rest of us also ordered pasta, and it was very good. But the starters (carpaccio and provolone) were much tastier, as they were also gluten-free. If I were to return to Comillas, I would definitely go back!
Excellent service. Gluten-free food on the entire menu, suitable for celiacs. Zero cross-contamination. Dogs are welcome. Homemade food. We'll be back!
We go there from time to time because we love the place, and it's great for eating and snacking. The place is beautiful, and with a bowling alley and playground in the pine forests, the kids have a great time! We just celebrated my youngest daughter's communion (who is celiac), and from the very first moment, communication with Javi was very easy! Everything went smoothly, and he even helped us with everything from playing music to videos on their TVs. His team was also super attentive at all times, always with a smile. Highly recommended for celebrating any event or just for a meal or a drink. Everything was GREAT!
I would grow up with gluten-free options!!! Both sweet and savory. Gluten-free smoothies and ice cream too!!! It was a real discovery, we loved it! The service was very friendly and kind. We'll definitely be back ♥️
One of the best places in all of Cantabria. Friendly staff, exquisite, fresh food, great views and atmosphere—all top notch. A place to come back for.
IMPORTANT: Most items on the menu are gluten-free and gluten-free.
The food and service are top-notch. They also have gluten-free noodles and bread available. The entire menu is gluten-free.
We ordered a set meal for two, which includes Lebanese stew, suckling lamb, wine, desserts, and coffee.
P.S. If you eat the whole meal, you'll have to go to sleep.
Highly recommended.
The food was good but we ordered gluten-free and despite it being delicious there must have been cross contamination and both of us with celiac disease got sick.
It is important that if there are gluten-free options there is no contamination because then it is like not having options for celiacs.
When you go to a place that has half the menu with gluten-free options, you trust it and think that it is going to be done well.
It's annoying because it's not easy to find places with gluten-free options.
A place not to be missed if you go to Cabárceno. Very friendly. I have celiac disease and they adapted the menu for me to eat. I know that some fries aren't much, but eating them away from home is a luxury for some people. Thank you for taking the trouble to treat the public so well. To repeat.
Dog friendly on the terrace! And many gluten free options!
The waiters are charming, the food is haute cuisine, laborious preparations that the Maître explains with passion and makes the experience even more pleasant. The outside terrace is fabulous and allows all members of the family (our furry dog included) to rest and enjoy this wonderful meal.
The only downside is that you can't reserve, you have to go and wait your turn, but the wait is worth it!
The place is pretty cool, the burgers are pretty good, but I don't understand why they spoil it by serving ketchup and mustard from Chinese supermarkets, the kind that taste horrible. Anyway. The prices are a bit high. The service was Saturday lunchtime, and there were very few staff, so the food took a while. As for the burgers, they're pretty good, and the fries are generous portions. They also have vegan and gluten-free options, which is great.
I am celiac and I normally have problems eating outside my house. This restaurant is great, we ordered the nachos with chicken and guacamole, cochinita pibil tacos and the red enchiladas, all very delicious. Excellent value for money.
Highly recommended, the crepes are very good, a lot of variety, gluten-free options and most importantly, very well controlled, everything is made separately. The attention of 10 and the service, despite being parties and being full, has been very fast!! Thank you very much!
We were lucky enough to book a table for their New Year's Eve gala meal (2024). We were treated to a gourmet experience in a cosy restaurant with competent staff who clearly enjoy working there and like their colleagues. The food was excellent, as was the wine. The quantities were perfect. Having been informed about the need for gluten-free alternatives, the chef delighted us with options that were truly delicious and equally as exquisite. We couldn't recommend Los Toneles highly enough. It isn't the first time we have dined there, and it won't be the last.
The restaurant's food is of good quality, and it's worth noting that they have a variety of gluten-free options, but the service from the waiters, especially one of them, leaves much to be desired.
Excellent
The food, the service, everything, and besides, I'm celiac and they check everything, which is unfortunately not normal. We're in Cantabria all week and we'll definitely be back. 😊
Fantastic. I am celiac. We ordered a sea bass and some scrambled eggs with ham.
The sea bass was €43/kg and they gave us a 1.4kg piece of sea bass
It was great, but I don't know why I expected less.
The attention to gluten and other issues was exquisite, they have it quite controlled, they make cachopos if you notify in advance without gluten and croquettes...etc.
They told me that one of the cooks was celiac, so it was pretty quiet. The food was very good to me. They have gluten-free bread.
I've been spending my summers in Santander for seven years, and I always eat lunch or dinner at this restaurant. It's perfect for us: excellent, varied food of exquisite quality, and suitable for those with celiac disease. A special mention to Adolfo, the waiter, who was attentive to everything, friendly, and always had a smile. He's a true professional; I think it's hard to find them. Thank you, Adolfo.
Spectacular place to eat, excellent service and food. My daughter is celiac, and there are plenty of gluten-free options. They take great care of it. I highly recommend it. 💯
The truth is, we went with expectations that weren't met. We thought the price was a bit high for what they offered. The service was unfriendly, and the coffee was very average. I wouldn't go back, although I did like the gluten-free bread.
I left very happy and with a very full stomach, with plenty of gluten-free options. The service was very good, the food was excellent value for money, the entrecote, the Galician-style octopus, and the gluten-free croquettes were delicious. I definitely hope to return here.
Many years in a row and we never got bored of the rich palate of the meals. We had to wait to eat. Because there was no room. But they didn't stop us from eating, even after hours. And as always, each dish is delicious. A special attention. Don't miss the opportunity to eat here because the cuisine is healthy and special. There was a celiac among us and we were treated very well. As always I reiterate. Until next time.
We went as a group of 10 bikers for lunch by chance, and it was a pleasant surprise. The food was of very high quality, the typical cabrito (goat), very tender and juicy, with belly salads and ham croquettes, asparagus with shrimp, and some homemade desserts to see which was the best. The best thing was the owner's service and recommendations. I'm gluten intolerant, and they served everything gluten-free. Honestly, a 10 for everything.
A place with a special charm, surfer and soccer fan atmosphere and a very cool decoration including the bathrooms. The workers are young people, very attentive, pleasant and most importantly friendly, I wanted to highlight in particular one of them who did not hesitate for a second to lend me his glasses so I could see the menu
(Imanol). The kitchen of 10, totally recommended, especially if you go with celiac children. And they also accept your pet ❤️
They have delicious gluten-free pizzas, and the potatoes are made separately, so they're suitable for celiacs. They also have gluten-free pasta, but when we went, they didn't have it yet because they usually have it available, especially during the summer.
Restaurant with spectacular views of the Cabárceno park. It was busy but we didn't have to wait too long to be served. The delicious food. I ordered a gluten-free menu and it was phenomenal. The service was 10. We were treated by Manuel who was very attentive to our intolerances and had excellent treatment. Fast and efficient service. Highly recommended.
They don't make reservations. I asked if they had food for celiacs and they answered yes. But in reality what they have are general menus, with dishes that they offer to the entire public and some of them can be eaten by celiacs. But they didn't have bread for celiacs.
The knuckle, for example, could be eaten by celiacs, but something was missing from the stew that had a slightly thick sauce. The price of the menu seemed expensive to us, for the quality they serve. The atmosphere was not bad, but with minimal privacy. They didn't have tails for celiacs. I do not recommend.
If you have problems finding where to eat, due to gluten or lactose, you won't have any problems here. Almost everything they have on their menu, if not everything, you can order. And they have a terrace.
We ordered delivery after having lost track of this restaurant and we are delighted to have found you again, from Maliaño to Soto de la Marina the food arrived hot, on point, very delicious, everything just as we remembered, my celiac daughter HAPPY (and we for her MORE)
THANK YOU JOSE and team for staying there.
Without a doubt it will have to be repeated
Excellent service. The workers were very polite and friendly. In addition, the food is very delicious, exquisite soupy rice.
Point to highlight, it is a restaurant suitable for celiacs, they even have gluten-free bread.
Thank you very much, we will return.

We went to the Deva bar in Unquera. They treated us wonderfully, the owners and employees were very friendly and attentive and very careful with the gluten-free food, in addition, they have a variety and the desserts from the "la ermita" brand were very, very good. Without a doubt I would repeat. My children have been delighted with the gluten-free bread, the meatballs, the ham with potatoes and eggs and the dessert.
Everything perfect. The meat was delicious, the service couldn't have been better, the place is very nice... really worth repeating many times.
We ate there on Santiago's day and it was spectacular. The steak has nothing to envy in the Basque country. We will repeat every time we come to Cantabria
It has a celiac menu, which is always a plus given how difficult it is to find restaurants that comply one hundred percent.
