The gluten-free apple fries were so good. The owner made them fresh while I waited. She was so friendly. 10/10 recommend even if you don’t need a gluten free place. It’s a short walk from the cruise ship port
I am local, this restaurant claims to have almost an entire gf menu and I've been glutened there twice and will not be back. the French fries are from a factory and contaminated there, so nothing fried is safe. last time I ate there I got a salad and chicken burger thinking that would be safe and still got sick.
Just a heads up that if you're looking for gluten-free food, the owner told my husband that they no longer make certain items. The information on the website is out of date. My husband said the food was okay although the coffee could have been better.
Absolutely great seafood , service and atmosphere. 5 of us dined outside ordering seafood dishes , all excellent and delivered to our picnic table at the same time by our fantastic waitress Lynn and 2 fellow employees. Deserts were amazing especially the carrot cake and bread pudding with brown sugar sauce. 2 of our party are gluten free and enjoyed the multiple choices available including in the deserts. We all enjoyed it so much we ordered takeout for our supper that evening. Thank you so much , we'll definitely be back for great home cooking and hospitality.
The Lost Anchor is a must-do in PEI this summer! They always have fantastic food, fantastic atmosphere and fantastic service. Ideally located in Cavendish, close to the beach and attractions, they are a favourite spot to enjoy a great meal. And as someone with Celiac, they have a lot of fantastic gluten free options on their menu, and are very knowledgable and so friendly. Can't wait to go again.
Consistently great food. The tuna, nachos and chicken burger are all exceptionally good. Many gluten-free options but could use more non-seafood dishes.
Lobster Dip DELICIOUS! I prefer the gluten free option of corn chips instead of the sliced baguette, only because the dip is so rich the crispy chip is nicer (my opinion) Tuna tartare and pan fried halibut fresh-very good. The service is great. Servers all very friendly and accommodating. The owner operators of this establishment-another property in Charlottetown, know exactly what they’re doing. The quality and portion sizes are not disappointing. North Rustico was battered by hurricane Fiona so things are still a bit rough and scared. The boardwalk is a great way to digest your lunch or dinner. Bon appetit.
Amazing and friendly staff, knowledgeable and carful about GF products, also have a separate GF fryer for celiac's. good flavour and great food.... highly recommend
I ate there a few weeks ago. I was actually there twice. Both times I told the waitress I have gluten issues. Is there anything I can eat. The first waitress told me everything on the menu is Gluten Free that I could have anything. So I had the fish and chips plus the chowder. The next time I said the same thing the waitress said I could only have the grilled fish. I am not Celiac I have gluten intolerance. issues. I did not get sick this time, sometimes I don't feel well after eating gluten. Anyway my issue is I sent an email to the email on your website and NO one got back to me whether your food is gluten free or not If this had happened to someone who was Celiac they could end up on the hospital very sick. This is a serious issue.
A special gluten free menu available! I ordered a lobster roll with a GF bun. I wanted to try the GF chowder, but it was unfortunately out. The roll was incredibly delicious with a good portion of lobster.
We were on the patio as they were fully booked inside. The server was fantastic by keeping us informed, and she offered us blankets for the patio. Service was decently quick considering how packed they were.
I’m in love with your gluten free menu! The fish & chips, and breaded shrimp are so good!! I’ve also had the Lebanese combo which was out of this world!!
Lovely spot! Bright & friendly. Quick service. Kid & pet friendly (patio for pets, water bowl outside). Great coffee. The menu has options for different dietary needs including gluten free & vegetarian. On-site parking available.
I had the yogurt with berries & granola and a London Fog. Recommend both!
Good food, gluten free options, even gf french fries! Our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient. We'll be back the next time we come to the Island!
The poutine price on the menu was listed 9.49 and I was charged 9.59 because according to the employee, the price is wrong on the menu. I didn't notice that a lettuce wrap was 1$ extra and being penalized for a gluten intolerance sucks.
That didn't sit well with me. The burger was decent. The portions are small. The poutine was not good when compared to Montreal poutine.
Please do better and don't penalize people with a gluten problem by charging them more for lettuce when A&W does it for free.
The experience was not what I expected.
Everything marked gluten friendly on this menu has been in a deep fryer with gluten products. So if you have a proper gluten allergy and can’t eat seafood you actually can’t eat anything here. Weird how you would never see something cross contaminated with nuts marked as nut friendly. Actually offer allergen friendly options or don’t.
The place would have gotten 4 stars, but there were a few issues:
First and foremost, the fries arrived cold. I didn't make an issue of it because the waitress was nice.
Then, the gluten free buns I asked for were not toasted which gives a super off taste for the burger which made the burger a total which I repeated verbatim to the managerial type that approached me. Like who doesn't toast freaking gluten free burger buns? At least, I am glad they weren't frozen lol.
After that, by the grace of G-d, the plastic wrapper that the gluten free buns were wrapped in fell off the bottom of my burger bun or else I would have accidentally ate it. That really put me in a sour mood even though I told the manager I wasn't angry. I have poor vision and thought initially it might have been an onion since the little piece looked like it.
I asked for a ranch like dip (can't remember if it was chipotle but let's go with some sort of ranch) and I wasn't told there was an extra cost.
To their credit, they apologized for the plastic mishap, but seriously, how hard is it to make sure THE PLASTIC WRAPPER OF THE BUNS IS NOT STUCK TO THE BUN?!?
Like how hard? How hard...Dear Heavens.
This greatly soured my experience and I was concerned I had accidentally swallowed plastic from the burger.
19.99 for the plastic underneath the burger with cold fries and a condiment I wasn't aware of was an extra cost of 60 or so cents. 21$ or so dollars down the drain.
A sorry doesn't help to brighten my day post-sour experience. At the very least, offer a discount, do something, anything out of goodwill without me asking. But nope, enjoy your untoasted gluten free buns with surprise plastic underneath and cold fries.
My kid also got cold fries. Do better next time.
Tornado of sighs and hurricane of mehs.
I only have one thing to say: 🦗🦗🦗
No words can describe how much I love this place. My family makes a reservation for a little over a dozen every year when we come to the island for vacation, because the tradition is too delicious to stop! Though, this isnt the kind if place you have to reserve! Their portions are VERY generous, and all of their food is unique (without having to be adventurous/"quirky" to like it)! They have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, so you never have to worry about your choices. Absolutely love it here, we look forward to it
This is the second time we have had dinner at the Landmark. My husband is an excellent cook so we rarely eat out but when we are on the island The Landmark is now a must. The fish is fresh, the creative sides complement the main dish and the atmosphere is cozy. The kitchen graciously accommodated my need for a gluten free meal and the sampling of different raw oysters was amazing. Thank you, Landmark, for providing such fine fare.
Great place right on the Harbour, and a short walk from the main street. Service was attentive and quick, the food was delicious and hearty, and the view was quite picturesque. They also had a good amount of Gluten Free options as well.
I recently visited Casa Mia and was thoroughly impressed with their dedication to gluten-free dining. Kim was incredibly knowledgeable about gluten-free options, ensuring a safe and enjoyable meal. They even use a separate toaster to avoid cross-contamination. The gluten-free breakfast was outstanding! We tried the keto breakfast skillet with steak, eggs, and bacon— it was absolutely amazing. We've been there a few times and ate various gluten free and non-gluten free meals, and each visit has been fantastic. Highly recommended!
Took my Wife out for her 38th Birthday! First time coming to Gahan House! We had the Nachos to start and some Grigio, then we had chicken and chorizo Stir-Fry as the Gluten free option And the Pork Belly Tacos with Fries! Was delightfully surprised with the food! The portion sizes were pretty large which left us unable to order dessert sadly…. Atmosphere was great! The Gahan house is a great spot to go, the menu doesn’t have that much for selection but sometimes too many choices aren’t good either.
I had a gluten free haddock bun, with coleslaw and sweet potato fries. Everything was so delicious, the haddock tender, the fries perfect with a dipping sauce.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for great seafood!! Great waitress, and a great view of the water.
Very friendly staff, we were able to eat outside with our pets on the picnic tables. Very nice for people traveling with their pets. The seafood was great and the gluten free options were well identified!
Margaritas were awesome! They need gluten free pasta and should work on making the steak and scallops look more appetizing. Server was excellent. Would go again.
Could be a lovely spot. It's right on the water's edge, and the view is lovely, but everything else leaves something to be desired. After being pushed by the server to "just choose something to drink," my fiance ordered the spinach dip, with the seafood Linguine, and a flight of beers to drink since he wanted to try them all. I had the chowder, with the Lobster roll, and asked for them to be gluten free. Our apps came out pretty quickly, but my chowder had 2 Baguette slices on the side of it. We called the server back and asked if they were GF, and she said said no, as if it was a stupid question. My fiance took the bread from my bowl, and we ate. Luckily, I am not that sensitive and cross contamination doesn't usually make me sick. The apps were fairly good, but didn't seem to be very fresh. Our mains came before we were even halfway through the apps. My Lobster roll came on 2 GF slices of bread, with a leaf of Lettuce and a fair helping of Lobster filling. My fiancé's Linguine had a thick tomato sauce that wasn't warmed all the way through, and several cold peices of fish, scallops, and mussles. We tried our mains, and I found mine to be truly tastless, and my fiancé said only his noodles were warm. I had to add more mayo to my roll because it was incredibly dry, and my fiancé couldn't even finish his meal, saying that it tasted like it was made yesterday. Our sever stood at the front of the room, on her phone, and we had to go get her any time we needed anything. When it was time to pay, she had her back to us, scrolling on her phone, talking to one of her co workers. The co worker finally pointed out that we were there, and our server brought over our bill.
I had a custom built gluten free sandwich grilled on a panini press. Very good. My guest had the Taco Crunch Pocket and liked it. We both had soup of the day, which was corn chowder.
They were short staffed, so the service was a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry.
We sat at a picnic table by a tree that was in full bloom, so there were lots of bees buzzing and hopping from flower to flower.
We had a small hiccup looking for it. The sign from the road was blocked by a tree. So, we had to circle back to find it.

The Cork and Cast
144 Richmond St, Charlottetown, PE C1A 1H9, Canada
My husband, daughter, and I all enjoyed the Cork and Cast a lot, great atmosphere and we had an amazing server who was also one of the owners, Rachel, so lots of nice conversation with her. The food was really high quality, with attention to detail evident in each dish.
We all ordered the lunch special. Their corn chowder was gluten free! What a treat for me as was the GF parmesan crostini that accompanied it. A beautiful half sandwich with chicken breast and goat cheese along with a salad followed the soup. Again - everything fresh and top-notch, including the garden salad, which was not your run-of-the-mill few pieces of iceberg lettuce with a slice of tomato and cucumber; this one had onions, peppers, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers and a lovely balsamic vinaigrette. They also had gluten-free bread for the sandwich, which was good quality for me and the non GF bread looked lovely soft and amazing as well. The sandwich had fresh pickled onion on it to cut through the richness of the goat cheese. Nice touch! Very well done all the way around. We all finished our plates with nary a drop left!

I was there for a conference. Food came cold. They reheated it (which over cooked the steak. Not a real big deal, it happens. I happen to be celiac. The big problem: I got gluten'd here for sure. The waitress seemed to have a great idea about the celiac challenges... so I believe the kitchen messed up. I can 100% guarantee I was gluten'd here. Sadly I was flying back to Calgary the next day... which was hell. For my celiac friends... go to John Browns instead!
