I booked a Mother’s Day dinner at The Table Bistro to celebrate my mom, and it was nothing short of incredible. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional—and a big part of that was thanks to our amazing server, Taylor.
Taylor was friendly, knowledgeable, and absolutely wonderful with my little one. She had fantastic recommendations and made us feel so well taken care of. Her attentiveness and warmth truly elevated our evening—she turned a lovely dinner into a true 5-star experience.
My mom and I both have gluten allergies, and we were so impressed by the number of delicious, high-quality gluten-free options available. It’s rare to feel so confident and included when dining out, but The Table Bistro really delivered.
The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all top-tier. I can honestly say I’ve yet to have a better experience at a restaurant. Highly recommend The Table Bistro—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Taylor as your server!
Celiac Review - this place was great! The food was delicious, the service was wonderful. Everything was very prompt. Our server Matthew was awesome!
Three of us went, it's my second time dining out since my Celiac diagnosis and I was nervous, however, they went the extra mile to ensure everything was safe!
I had the red thai curry with deep fried tofu, fried in a dedicated gluten-free fryer, and the London fog crème brulée for dessert. It was all very delicious.
Huge thanks to Matthew and management for the wonderful service and for ensuring that I felt secure with the dining experience.
I LOVE Oldhand! The owners and staff are so lovely. Oldhand has my favourite chai of anywhere in Abbotsford, you can get delicious and fresh lunch options, and the cafe has such a cozy atmosphere to linger for awhile.
Sometimes the breakfast cookie (gluten-free, vegan, & delicious!) is still warm when I get it, and other times it does not taste very fresh and leaves a bit to be desired. I wish there was more consistency with this.
Other than that, Oldhand truly is an Abbotsford staple. Great vibes, lovely food & beverage offerings, and stellar humans who make you feel welcome. Cheers!
Great gluten free options, they even brought gluten free garlic bread before the meal. I don’t believe I’ve ever been accommodated like this before. Great experience.
I went to Afterthoughts for the first time when Cora’s became so busy, that I would have to wait an hour or more for a table. The Afterthoughts is a pretty good café to go to. This café has a good selection of coffee concoctions and desserts, including keto and gluten free alternatives. I ordered the Keto Strawberry Cheesecake it was creamy and tasty. I also had the Gluten-Free Pecan Tart that I found was more enjoyable. The cappuccino was very solid and found no problems with the drink. The establishment has a nice traditional aesthetic to it with mild lighting.
Afterthoughts is a great place to have a caffeinated drink and snack. It would be great if this place had a menu for of full meals.
Came in with some friends on the weekend and had a great experience! I told them I had a gluten allergy and our server, Tianna, was amazing at accommodating my allergy.
Went for an early morning breakfast meeting. Very few people in the restaurant. Coffee was hot and refills were prompt. Food came hot and was tasty. Options on the breakfast menu are very limited. If you need gluten or dairy free, there isn't much on the menu for you.

I need to take the time to sit and enjoy a meal at Good Taco in Abbotsford. To be honest, I am basing the Food Review on my visual experience and the rave reviews I received. I host Lunch & Learns for Architects and General Contractors. In the past week, my meetings have been further out in the Fraser Valley and I turned to Good Taco for their Catering offerings. This is not "Fast Food", this is true, authentic tacos (and other menu items). You can just tell the ingredients are fresh and made from scratch. With so many options, they are the most ideal source for group lunches - the Taco Kits and Taco Bars work for gluten free, plant-based preferences, etc. The only downside is the commute from Good Taco to the hosting office, because the amazing aroma in my vehicle is terrorizing!
Props to Tracey who greets you with a smile and offered to help carry the packages of food to my car.
Looking forward to my second order from Good Taco Abbotsford tomorrow and hoping my guests share with me this time!

My husband and I came for lunch today and recieved amazing service from Alisha, aswell as the bartender.
Food tasted super amazing especially as I have a gluten and dairy allergy... Usually hard to find somewhere that accomadates. Definitely my favorite restaurant. Try it if you haven't yet or are debating it.
B.l.a.s.t. sandwich with the apple sauce was really good, and the gluten free bread was delicious. However, a little pricey for a smaller sandwich with no side.
I've eaten hundreds of Famoso pizzas over the years, starting in Edmonton long ago. It's been my go-to pizza place for a long time because of the excellent ingredients and especially the soft, chewy crust that bubbles in the oven and had a texture that I hadn't experienced outside of brick oven pizzas in New York. I loved being able to get that kind of quality in my own neighbourhood. That's why I was so disappointed on my last visit to Famoso in Abbotsford last week, something has changed in the crust. It tasted like cardboard in flavour and texture. Famoso pizza just isn't special anymore and I'm so sad about that. My guess is that to reduce costs they've replaced the 00 flour with regular high gluten North American flour and ruined it. They took away my reason for going back.
My daughter and I, along with my 6 month grandson, visited Little Sprout for lunch today.
The food was truly delicious. I had the Southern Chicken Sandwich and my daughter had the Mediterranean Chicken Burger and both were wonderful.
We finished it off with a pot of tea each and a slice of yummy banana bread for my daughter as well as a huge raisin and date muffin for myself.
The service was amazing, even the chef came out to chat.
The cafe isn’t huge but it is well worth visiting for a light snack, breakfast or lunch. Many vegetarian options as well as gluten free bread. It was spotlessly clean and even had a baby changing table in the washroom.
Will I visit again, absolutely yes.
Highly recommend!
Delicious food! They catered our son’s wedding this weekend and the food was amazing and plenty of it. We also visited the restaurant before the wedding, we very much appreciated the personal attention given to us by the chef and server. The buffet was totally gluten free as we have celiacs in the family, which is very rare. Their food is excellent and good portions. Would totally recommend them for catering or dinner out!
Came in on a Thursday for a 7pm dinner and we’re seated right away. Really good. Good and diverse options on the menu. Food was a bit expensive for the portion size you get. I ordered a steak frites which is supposed to be a 6oz steak and I got a pathetic cut about 4oz if that. Otherwise it was cooked to the perfect medium rare but it was too chewy even for a medium rare not really a melt in your mouth cut of steak. Also I ordered a cheeseburger with a gluten free bun which fell apart on me mid dining. Mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant from a box not impressed. Super dry. However, the sauce on the burger was good, service was prompt, sides should be bigger as well as all other portions. I wouldn’t recommend eating here if you want to get your moneys worth.
Ordered specifically because they said they take precaution for gluten allergy (celiac). Both bowls had the same noodles, only one bowl had a label and it was for ribbon noodles (not gluten free), packed in same bag.
Called the restaurant and they said over and over again, “it should be fine” and “it should be okay”. This is totally unprofessional for food service allergy standards and instills no confidence in their care and respect for those with allergies.
If you have any allergy, I would avoid this place at all costs after this experience.
They showed no care or concern for gluten allergy and when issue brought to attention, said “it should be fine”. I suspect they would do the same with other allergies so be aware.
The only professional and caring response in this situation would be offering to fix it immediately, committing to making it right, and demonstrating they have the knowledge about food allergies. However, the response “it should be fine” shows a lack of knowledge, understanding, and care.
This is a great coffee shop to meet up with friends or sit with your laptop. The customer service is outstanding. The coffee is fantastic. Their pastries are amazing. They even had some gluten-free vegan options for me. The parking is limited, but there are spots available. It's very close to a freeway exit, so the location is super convenient.
The Food we got was really tasty, only complaint is they didn't have the apple slices on the kids menu, but didn't tell us until we had given our full order, our waitress went to kitchen and then came back. Also she mixed up our extras cups for our milkshakes. Which wouldn't have been a big deal except mine had cheesecake (Graham cracker crumbs) and my niece is gluten free. They remade her shake but never compensated our bill.... Oh well
