Called to asked if the food was gluten free as my son is celiac the lady’s response Yea yea yea! When question further she hung up the call, we then called back and she then said they only did gluten free Thursday and Friday! Make of that what you will
Lots of choice on the menu. Good gluten free options. Look out on Facebook for events, there was free a classic American car rally the evening we went and the children loved it.
We loved this restaurant. Friendly, fabulous staff, especially Pila. Food delicious, huge portions, and the best gluten-free garlic bread EVER. If we were local, we would be regular visitors. Try it!!
I've been here quite a few times recently and always received excellent service, and the food is delicious. They have a large gluten-free menu, too, and everything I've had, I could eat every day for a week.
Love the food, very authentic Spanish food I should know having lived in Gibraltar and visited Spain various times. Gluten free options meant my fussy husband was sorted.
Fresh , good portion size. Best of all wide gluten free options ( this was the initial reason we came here). Service was slower than expected but they were busy. We we not bothered but the two tables next to us were grumbling. Staff though, were really professional. Will definitely be returning...
Very quick attention from the first waitress, who explained things clearly and checked on our allergies. Then more BRILLIANT attention from three others, including one waitress who true to her promise came back after giving us a few more minutes to choose our food! I was brave choosing my food, because I have intolerances but it was DELICIOUS. (Two good sized gluten free starters - I think that's what they were - instead of a main dish.) A nice atmosphere with all ages of adults and children, and a good view of the kitchen staff who were working INCREDIBLY hard, along with all the other staff. But they listened to me as well, eg to pay complements and ask one or two questions.
I havent received my order yet for home delivery but just wanted to say the guy who answered the phone was amazing, i have a gluten and dairy allergy and he took his time to go through the allergy info on every item i ordered, eating food made by other people is nornally a stressful experience but I feel at ease after ordering just now.
Incredible food and service. It's now our favourite place to go. We had a relaxing and very filling evening with staff who were incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially with my gluten intolerance. The food is unbelievable, so much and so tasty. Thank you for a wonderful time!
Delicious piping hot tapas and a side of fries for less than £20 from the gluten free menu. They had Corona 0.0% to complete a tea time stop over on my journey. Waiting staff were smiley and competent, and venue seemed popular with couples. Atmosphere dominated by a Baby Shower large group, which will not always be the case.
Simply amazing! Food is fantastic and arrived quickly. large range of food including options for vegetarians and staff were very helpful with a member of our family who is gluten intolerant. would recommend!
As a strictly GF/Celiac customer, eating out fills me with anxiety, worrying about cross contamination and creating extra attention by staff is awkward for myself and those I dine for.
The staff at this particular PH where friendly, helpful and went the extra mile with GF options with ease and reassurance! Despite dinning with family on a busy (for the staff) on Saturday afternoon, the staff still find the time to be so accommodating!
The food came out hot and quick, the children enjoyed the colouring in activities, and I felt completely looked after and understood without feeling like a burden!
Thank you, we will be bk 😊
Gone down hill! Cost cutting victim?
Frequent visitors since Harpers took over from the previous owners, we're familiar with the food and have enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere over the last few years. Visiting yesterday for the first time since the menu change, the menu and pricing were generally the same as before, but the quality of what is actually served is substantially different. Prices are comparable to most Michelin guide steak restaurants, which is fine if the standards are maintained. The steaks now seem to be a lot more chewy and the quality of the meat has regressed, whilst the prices remain the same: £40 for fillet, £77 for Chateaubriand. The fillet actually came out in two parts which is odd. This was the same for every person on our table. Chateaubriand was not as tender as it should be. The Bordelaise sauce, which is usually just a wine reduction seemed to be packed out with a gravy filler, so it had a gelatin texture. They no longer serve jacket potatoes so you have to have chips with your steak. The onion rings, which weren't available at the time are gluten free; the only option you have. The service is still the same and extremely good, it's just now being let down by the quality of the food that's being served. This is such a shame and I hope this review services feedback that hopefully leads to the standards returning back to where they were before.
Best south Indian restaurant I have ever been to! The staff is so polite and accommodating especially if you have dietary needs, I have coeliac and they made sure to take extra precautions when preparing my food. everything from starters to mains and desserts is delicious! I highly recommend this place!!!!!!!
Oh. My. Word. Came here for a family meal out, not always an easy task with two vegetarians and a coeliac in the party. But this restaurant had so many options it was hard to choose! Everything was delicious and packed full of flavour and the portions were enormous. We all left very full and very happy. The staff were so friendly and the level of hospitality was second to none. An absolute gem of a place - thank you all for a wonderful evening.
If you like delicious food and a cultural experience, I think you will love this restaurant. I shared a mixed platter that had about eight different dishes. Each dish had different seasonings from mild to spicy hot and all were so tasty. The Eritrean beer, Asmara, was also nice.
Many healthful vegetarian options of beans, peas, or lentils, also delicious dishes with lamb or chicken. You eat using injera bread, which is gluten-free, instead of cutlery. The outside doesn’t look like much, but the atmosphere inside is nice and our server was lovely and warm.
My only suggestion is that I recommend that they add hand wipes or warm towels for your fingers before and after the meal (but of course you can just wash up in the restroom).
