A mediocre experience, unfortunately. No alternatives were available for any of their free from options. The gluten free pasta option contained no pasta. The vegan option contained no vegan cheese. When this was questioned we were told "pasta has gluten in it" as if we should have known not to order it if we didn't want gluten. Very disappointing.

Lovely restaurant, food was quite nice, although my linguine had no chilli as promised and the squid in it was not pleasant to eat. The rest of the food looked nice and everyone approved. Pleased to see gluten free options. They asked about allergies when we were greeted, and we were told the server would take care of that, but he never asked. They’re quite pushy on upselling, which is fair enough to a point, but to interrupt to ask us if we wanted more drinks when all glasses were visibly full was a bit silly, as was asking us if we wanted anything else while we were in the middle of eating our main. There were quite a lot of interruptions throughout the meal which put us off staying for desert and coffee. If they can sort the service out, we’d go back, but we go out for a meal as a relaxing experience, and this wasn’t it. It spoiled what could have been quite a lovely lunch out, all else considered.

Really enjoyed this location. Pub style but with a brighter, warm glowy atmosphere, suited our lunch date. Hostess/ waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered meatballs and arancini for starters which were delicious. Bolognese was nice and rainbow salad was pleasant (mostly the citrus dressing served with). Dessert was Rhubarb ravioli with vanilla bean Custard, crumble and compote and it was interesting(not bad just different - great flavors). We had the Blood orange & chocolate tart with raspberry sorbet as well(gluten free & vegan) It was divine, highly recommend for chocolate lovers. The Lemonade was tart and refreshing.

What an amazing experience! I love real Italian food and this is exactly what we got. The customer service was on point! Thank you Isma and the team... You made us feel very special and your knowledge of the menu was really helpful. The atmosphere was calm and inviting but would also be great for a dinner party. We had the Seabass and the Lasagne which were both delicious, well cooked and hot. Lots of choice, so easy to please everyone. Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free etc.... The homemade Tiramisu was the only way to complete our meal, the best I have had in a long time! I would highly recommend Da Nico!
