Turtel Taube
The service was fast and friendly. The food wasn't bad, but the pasta was too oily and the fish overcooked for our taste. The side vegetables were excellent!
The menu is varied and interesting, and dietary restrictions, including vegan and gluten-free options, are catered for.
The bistro was a great choice after visiting the K21 Museum. Everything tastes good here. For under €20 I got a main course, a large juice spritzer and a delicious latte with oat milk. Toilets are in the basement. Small and clean. The waitresses were all super friendly! Thanks.
One star less because I didn't like the view from the window. Is a backyard atmosphere.
P.s.: There are also alternatives that are gluten-free.
Today we wanted to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday here in a small group. Since my children have to eat a gluten-free diet, this was stated when we reserved the table (specifically: they wanted gluten-free pizzas and so we announced it early on - this offer also exists there in principle, that's the only reason we went there). My mother also left her cell phone number.
When we arrived we were told: we no longer have gluten-free pizza.
My parents came there from outside Düsseldorf. Nobody thought it was necessary to call them after the last gluten-free pizza had been ordered, nobody had put aside the two portions of dough that we had explicitly stated were requested.
Apparently Per Voi (formerly Da Noi Urdenbach) did not note the request for gluten-free pizzas when making the reservation.
It's human to make mistakes, even if there were several here.
The real reason I'm writing this review now is that there was not a word of regret, not an admission of error, not a "sorry!", not a "you're right!". No recognition of what was obviously, unfortunately, unprofessional behavior.
So if you want to go there to eat a “reserved” gluten-free pizza, you can’t necessarily rely on it. And yes, gluten-free pasta was offered as an alternative, but it happens that the guest simply wants to eat what he had already announced and been promised days before.
So we left the restaurant without having accomplished anything. It's a shame, it could have been a nice evening there.
1. The list of allergens on the ordering machines is displayed in such a small size that not a single allergen can be identified without any doubt.
2. If you click on gluten-free on the menu on the website, 90% of the dishes displayed are fried together with dishes containing gluten in the same oil.
Then you can just leave it alone!!
The company has apparently never heard of the requirements for gluten-free food for people with celiac disease...
Very nice waiters. I had a turkey steak with a baked potato, which was available gluten-free. The portion was a bit small for the price, but otherwise everything was perfect.
Ruth was our waitress and she was very kind and polite, as visitors her knowledge of English was very helpful.
The food was also very good, especially since there were gluten free options.
Delicious Korean BBQ. I have celiac disease, and the waitress was able to tell me what was gluten-free. (It was rice, beans, zucchini, onions, and of course, all kinds of meat.)
Pretty cool place with an impressive selection of burgers. Important: Also recommended for people with celiac disease, as they also offer gluten-free buns for a small additional charge. The burgers themselves taste amazing, the meat is excellent, and the fries are as crispy as they should be. So: top! Highly recommended.
Delicious! The quesedillas, tacos, nachos with guacamole... all recommended! By choosing the fillings you can put together your meal individually, including vegetarian and gluten-free.
Extremely friendly and attentive. Olga served us with a warmth that contributed to a perfect evening. She accommodated our special requests (gluten-free) professionally and with great empathy. Thank you very much and keep up the good work!
We tried this restaurant close to our hotel. We had good references. Before going there, I called to make sure they could serve safe gluten-free food. They told me the meat and fish where okay. Great! When the 8 of us arrived, I explained my allergies to the waiter again. They prepared three dishes for me: antipasto of cold cuts. Gluten-free spaghetti al pomodoro. And a piece of beef fillet. I didn’t take a picture of this last one because I didn’t think of it.
My colleagues were not happy with this restaurant because the portions were quite small for the price we paid, and also because we paid way beyond expected.
I was happy because they had good precaution to prepare my food safely and avoiding cross contamination. Despite being small, the meat was really good.
The food is delicious, the owner is very kind and explained me the optios for celiac and fortunately they have a lot of options.
The food was really tasty, the only picture that I took shows it.
The attention was nice, but when is too busy , you have to wait a bit longer to get your order, but this is not problem because the place is cozy.
I really enjoyed the experience and so far it is my favorite indian restaurant in all Germany.
Really delicious food 🍲 definitely check out chicken pho. Really kind service. Also nice atmosphere. I loved it here. Easy to find food for gluten free and dairy free restrictions.
Great restaurant! A gluten-free, totally creative menu was conjured up especially for me! Super tasty! And the service and the wines were sensationally good!
Due to traffic problems we were forced to spend time at the airport. Luckily, in addition to the friendly, very helpful staff, there is also gluten-free and soy-free pasta. And if you're lucky, there's also a gluten-free dessert. Probably the only place for this at DUS airport.
Unfortunately there was a very long wait on Friday evening. Gluten-free versions were possible. Very tasty starter, main course was ok. We found the prices relatively high, so we didn't get full marks.
The food is good but the service is better. They didn’t have a gluten-free option in bread but they were kind to offer carrots with cheese instead. The steak I ordered (medium) was not rested well and accumulated water at the bottom of the plate within minutes. The portions are marked out, so you have options of 200/300/400 gms depending on your appetite. The options for the sides is good but the spinach we ordered had full stems on it which made every morsel very chewy - steams of fully mature leaves should have been cut out in my opinion.
Overall, I would return to the restaurant because it’s a good value. We spent about 50 € per person, including drinks and food.
Had a gluten-free pizza there for the first time today. The pizza tasted okay, but it wasn't any better than gluten-free frozen pizzas. However, shortly afterwards I had severe diarrhea, so I doubt the gluten freedom.
Group of 10 during one of the largest fairs in Dusseldorf. Still, easy to book, friendly communication when adjusting the booking. We felt welcome. Good service and good food, including gluten free.
A bit of a strange thing. A bit wrongly chic and old-fashioned cozy mixed together. But where can you eat a gluten-free breaded schnitzel? That's fantastic! Therefore a recommendation for people with a wheat allergy or gluten intolerance. The rest also nicely priced dishes.
