Getting meals gluten free can be a hassle at some restaurants but Joeys certainly made it easy. I had their protein style chicken club and lava cake for desert and it was delicious! Zoe the manager was so sweet and prioritized my allergy, would not have been so comfortable without her help!

I wish to congratulate Sebastian and his staff on your delicious food, the service & attention you paid to our gathering, you really made the day! This was my first time to your restaurant, believe me it won’t be the last! You looked after my dietary needs, being celiac, it is stressful when I have to go out and be so careful. You went out of your way to bring me gluten free crackers, when the bruschetta looked so delicious, aswell you brought me mango sorbet, when I couldn’t have birthday cake. I won’t forget the extra mile you went to for me., and I look forward to my next trip to La Grotta. Bravo!

I really wanted to like this place more. the drawbacks: I really felt like I was in a nightclub. The bass music was a bit much on yop of the number of kids in there, screaming and yelling really detracted from my overall experience. The positive: The food presentation was second to none, well done. I did have the gluten-free pad thai, which was amazing at first. Very flavorful with a distinct tamarind flavour, but it became overwhelming part way thru, i ended up not finishing my entire meal because it was just too much. The mango salad, shrimp roll appies were great and my girl friends curry was amazing. Just not sure I will hurry back anytime soon.

The food and service were outstanding. Thank you to our server Faraaz for exceptional service and hospitality. We were very well taken care of and can't wait to go back! Second time here by to celebrate a family member’s birthday. Was as good or even better than first time and the first time was excellent!!! Liam our waiter ( both times) made our lunch fabulous. He gave us all recommendations and helped order for the table of 6 plus ensured one guest who is celiac, could enjoy all her food too as well kept the ‘heat’ to a minimum for our tastebuds. Food is excellent here, plentiful and so flavourful however Liam our waiter made all the difference.
