My coffee was okay. They advertise gluten free donuts but they are not safe for Celiac people. Wish they would state this clearly to save us from the drive to there. My family had regular donuts and enjoyed them.
Disappointed to go today and find out they no longer cook the gluten free noodles in a separate pan, and just cook it with the regular noodles. 😔 sad for those of us with actual gluten allergies, and not just preferences. This was the only ramen place I could go to..
still giving 4 stars because the food & people are lovely, but hoping they rethink the gluten free noodle process.
Great place, wonderful staff and a quaint environment. Plus, they know their stuff about gluten and cross contamination for those of us who are celiac or intolerant. It's always a pleasure. Make sure to mention "Pineapple Shirts" to the owner!
Really good sandwiches. Friendly service. If you are celiac or have a gluten allergy, they can accommodate you during their off peak hours. For celiacs, I’d recommend visiting when it opens or later on in the day. I’m celiac and have eaten here multiple times without issue.
HEADS UP: Their gluten-free fryer may or may not be available. The last time I was there (May), the gluten-free fryer was back. The few times I stopped by in March & April (2023), they only had one fryer, and it was being used to cook glutinous items. When this is the case, they're still able to cook you up a super yummy gluten-free burger but without the fries.
Whidbey has very few places that truly cater to Celiacs, and this is one of those places. Lots of places offer gluten-free buns, but these guys have a separate gluten-free, dedicated fryer, making their yummy fries an option, too. They also have no problem bagging the gluten-free combo separately to avoid cross-contamination. This is our go-to place for gluten-free burgers and fries on the island.
This place has some of the best food in the puget sound. The flavors are unmatched and the people running the truck are so sweet. It’s a family of three running the truck and it feels like you’re visiting their home kitchen with all the love they put into their food. I’m gluten sensitive and they have a whole separate gluten free menu which makes it so easy to order. I don’t know anywhere around here that sells a gluten free masubi and they have two. It’s affordable, always great vibes and the food is absolutely unreal. Go here!
Only thing going for this place is a gorgeous setting. Each time I come, hoping for a meal which matches the lovely garden vibe I am disappointed. This time it was over avocado toast. I asked for a gluten free option and the counter clerk said they'd replace the bread with lettuce leaves. She told me many people ordered it and loved it. I assumed they would make a wrap. My daughter ordered a sandwich with a salad side. We ordered to go and took our bag to nearby Feeland park. Opening our bag, I found 2 boxes but no utensils. Mine contained lettuce pieces and half an avocado (sliced) with a bit of dressing. This was it!--lettuce and avocado! How was a supposed to eat lettuce? With my fingers? For the price, this meal was outrageous--the cost of the ingredients was less than $1. Stay home, make your own salad wrap.
Looooved the oysters and salmon special. A great atmosphere with the best serving staff that will add a touch of sparkle to your day. Looking at you Willow! Worth the wait on busy weekends. They also offered a variety of gluten free dishes.
I would literally drink their blue cheese aioli with a straw. Absolutely drool-worthy. We enjoyed their super fun mixed drinks and amazing views! Service was excellent. The homemade pickles were spicy! And they accommodated Gluten Free!!
