I have celiac. I can get several options there and not get sick. We always go to Zanesville, and request Emily as our waitress. Always great service with a good attitude. Makes sure my food is gluten free.

Rough start, rough finish. Even with reservations, 40-minute wait. The place was busy, and we had a party of 7, which appeared to be difficult for them to handle. The bartender was great in accommodating our drinks while we were waiting in the entrance. The pace of the evening was a bit odd, as our apps and soups came out at different times. Soup was phenomenal! Then came dinner. In ordering, I will say I failed here, but it got a bit worse. I have severe allergies with food that leads to anaphylaxis. For some reason, maybe the chaos of the night, maybe because I thought I ordered safe based on my menu choices, I didn't tell our server, who was doing her best with a 7 top on a busy night. My order, the special, pork tenderloin medium, brussels, and au gratin. Simple, right. Nope. Not only did our food come out quite irregular in timing, but apparently, the brussels were covered with finely chopped walnuts. Again, it's my fault, I'm glad I don't eat what I don't recognize. I asked our server what was on the brussels, and she didn't know, so she left to find out. When she returned, we determined that I couldn't touch anything on the plate. So I asked for a new meal, the same without brussels, just meat and potatoes. The replacement meal took longer than the original. Everyone at the table had finished, which made things awkward. This was a work trip, and I honestly won't find myself in the area again but for the owner's and chef, if your going to serve a dish with such a severe allergen in it, shouldn't it be listed, AND shouldn't the servers know? Top allergens: tree nuts, peanuts, crustaceans, mollusks, eggs, gluten, and dairy, the list goes on, but awareness is key.
