I have recently discovered that I have a gluten allergy. I love Chinese food but I have found no gluten free options. We decided to give PF Chang's a shot. This location was very busy but very organized. We were seated within minutes and the food was excellent. However, our waiter was even more excellent. Louis was absolutely perfect. He was attentive and had a great attitude about my annoying food issue. We joked around about it and he even helped me make the right food choice. We will definitely be coming back, partly for the great food but more because of the service we got from Louis. He is a rock star!
unlike I usually do, I got 2 coffees to fuel me for a 6 hour drive back to Boston today. I got the Cadbury latte and the crème brûlée latte, both iced with almond milk.
For the Cadbury latte, they were out of toasted marshmallow syrup so we decided to substitute with shortbread syrup (which was still very good). I enjoyed this latte a lot but less than the crème brûlée latte which was SO good. The crème brûlée latte has toasted sugar in it which gives it almost a little bit of a smoky caramelized flavor. It was amazing and definitely worth trying both seasonal flavors.
They also had a selection of packaged gluten free snacks so I picked up a rice krispy treat. I didn’t order any food but I did overhear one of the baristas on the phone listing off all the gluten free options they have (and let me tell you, that gf English muffin breakfast sandwich sounded so good).
It’s always a pleasure stopping by the coffee shops in Rochester (who knew there were so many) and busy bean ranks highly up there!
Truly a hidden gem in Victor! I’ve been to Sweet Basil’s on two separate occasions, both times the food was amazing! My first time here I got the Ba Baw, which is a thick rice porridge, and my second time I got their beef pho. Both dishes were so good, but their pho was really the star of the show! They have an absolutely amazing broth, it was so filling and delicious. I also dined here with my sister who has celiac, and they took every precaution to make sure there was not any cross-contamination. She was able to eat here and had no issues. Expect service to be a bit slower than you’re used to, this is a small business and it’s usually run by 2-4 people, but the wait is totally worth it! We will definitely be back!
I'm celiac, and I tell the girl that when I order. Knock on wood, so far, so good with not getting sick from cross contamination. I order the Colorado chili tacos, potato and chorizo tacos, and Becca Bowl with chicken.
I'm addicted to the chili Colorado tacos, and my 12 year old loves the carnitas burrito and the chicken chimichanga (she's not celiac, so she can eat those).
The street fruit is amazing and the chicken Becca salad is HUGE and so worth the money as that's a 3-day meal!
There are a lot of steps leading up to the Old Pueblo Grill, so if you can't do steps, you may want to call first to see if there is an alternative entry you could use. (Maybe that's why they don't serve cocktails?)
It was hard finding the place, but I'm glad I did because they are my new fave place for take out.
They play rap music, which doesn't fit the atmosphere, so I always get my food to go. (Hint, Hint)
Pub food. Parking was plentiful. Waitress never came back to refill drinks and gave us one check for the entire party without asking how we wanted the bill and we were all separate. They do have a gluten-free menu.
We have come many times and have always had a great experience. But tonight Briana H made it outstanding. It was a busy holiday weekend and she was still attentive and on top of our table. I ordered the Asian Salmon bowl with no sauce due to a gluten allergy, which I made her aware of when I ordered. When the food arrived there was one corner with sauce on it. Almost as if the kitchen started to put the sauce on then remembered the mod and sent it out anyway. When I pointed it out, she was on top of it, apologizing and getting me a new meal as quickly as she could. On top of that, she though ahead that my bowl might be a bit dry without the sauce (I did not) and brought be a cup of the boom boom sauce without prompting, since we had gotten it on our appetizer and knowing I had liked it. I was very impressed to her commitment to making sure I had a great meal, even with having to make modifications to accommodate my food allergy. We also did not realize till after we left my meal had been comped, which was appreciated but not necessary as I did eat the 2nd bowl. Huge shout out to Briana H! Thanks for another great night at NYBP!!
I am celiac and this was a wonderful meal of papaya salad, pad Thai, drunken noodles, and vegie springs rolls. It was a delicious and flavor filled meal. Our server was fantastic. We will be making this our primary place for take out and dine in.
Pita Chik stands out in a sea of chain restaurants. You can tell their dishes haven't been prepared by a food scientist in a factory far away. They take pride in their food. We are still making our way around the menu but everything we've had so far has been great. Their fries have are dusted in a spice that makes them hard to eat slowly. The falafel is my vegetarian husband's favorite in town now. The mint lemonade is my new favorite. It's an unexpected and elevated drink for a mall. Anyway, just stop by. If you're Gluten Free they can hook you too.
The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. The people working when I went were incredibly kind and understood my celiac’s disease and were very friendly.
After a bit of shopping at the mall, my son and I decided to get dinner here. We looked around the mall for gluten free options as my son was recently diagnosed with celiac’s disease. Places at the mall stated they offer gluten free but were refusing service as they couldn’t guarantee no cross contamination. When we got to Picraft the woman asked if it was an allergy or preference. After stating my son has the ‘allergy’ (not sure it is the right term, but most associate it as an allergy), she had a server pull dough from a separate fridge and build his pizza with topping separate from the regular toppings. I appreciated the attention as this was our first outing navigating celiac’s disease and options out. The team there was lovely. One star off for the mess on the tables and floors in the dining room. As much as I understand they only had an hour until closing, they were steady with business and should clear the tables/sweep when available. I’m not a fan of my feet sitting in other people’s messes/crumbs and tables that haven’t been wiped down. It hurts the experience. Definitely will return here though as everything else was fantastic.
As someone that eats gluten free and dairy free, I am so excited when I can eat food that is safe and delicious!! Friendly and welcoming staff! I'm already excited to eat here again!
I wanted to love this place, so much so that I gave them five chances. I have a gluten allergy and was drawn to this restaurant because of their separate gluten free menu. However, each of the five times I’ve eaten there, I’ve been served gluten. Unfortunately, I won’t be back, nor can I recommend it to those with allergies.
It was very busy but our server was attentive to our needs. I did not say I was gluten free and forgot to say no croutons on my salad so I just picked them off. I ordered the rib eye with shrimp. The rib eye had A LOT of fat around it which I had to cut off. The shrimp came on toasted bread which was not listed in the description and I would have said something if it was listed in the menu. Overall it was still a very tasty meal.
I'd give this place a million stars if I could!
We got the brisket, ribs, fried potatoes, and coleslaw. Everything was perfectly cooked and so delicious!!!
In addition to the wonderful awesome food, the atmosphere was really cute, and the bathrooms were clean.
Shout-out to our amazing server who double-checked the ingredients list for me as I'm gluten-free!
I feel like this is one of the best places to eat in Victor! The service is fast and quality and the food is just as good. They have one of the best gluten free pizza crusts I’ve ever had.
Stumbled upon this cafe for breakfast and it’s cute and cozy - Gilmore girls coffee vibes! We had cinnamon roll, breakfast burrito and the mini classic breakfast with iced coffee and all were delicious. Staff is wonderful and friendly!! They have a gluten free menu as well. We will be returning :)
The food here is fresh, flavourful, and absolutely delicious! The menu is extensive where there will be something for everyone,. Gluten free options are available, the servers can guide you on what selections are best. Highly recommend the curry noodle bowl, this is the best of both worlds if you love curry but still want some noodles, and the flavour is amazing! The portions are very generous, so you get your moneys worth. It can get very busy, so opt for an earlier dinner, especially since acoustics aren’t the best when it is busy, and can get a little loud
