Beautiful back patio with a view of the lake, very kind wait staff, and excellent pizza! Lots of gluten free and veggie options.

I came here a week ago and am disappointed to say that my experience was less-than-stellar and in many ways just bad. I came here because it had good ratings for gluten-free food (I have celiac.) They had a gluten-free menu from which I ordered a bowl of soup and made sure it was put in as a gluten allergy so it would be taken seriously. After waiting for almost 30 minutes for a single bowl of soup (I was ordering to-go!) they brought out a box with the bowl of soup in it right next to two biscuits, which I was then told by the manager were not gluten-free. He then told me that it hadn't been put in as a gluten allergy at all, calling into question the safety of the soup itself. After 30 minutes of wasted time, they comped the check and I left, more hungry and much less satisfied than when I entered.

I’m leaving this review in hopes that the owner will raise the standard because I truly hope the best for every restaurant and I want them to succeed. There’s no way around it, this place is missing the mark. The dining room looked nice, but the lights were flickering and the music kept shutting off and breaking up. Then there were long bouts with no music, which made it very awkward. The food was mediocre. The appetizers tasted like they were a few days old and my daughter even asked if they microwaved it as it was very chewy. The Chana masala and Aloo Gobi were simply plain and very soupy. The portions were smaller than average (especially given the lack of contents due to the soupy nature of the dishes). All in all we paid over $100 for 3 apps and 3 main dishes (no meat). It simply was not worth that. So final thought, do better. I’m pulling for you, but Indian food has a high standard in my book and I know you can get there with a little extra effort. P.s. Thank you for labeling the vegan/Gluten Free meals. That was definitely a plus.

First time to Petoskey for my husband and I . I’m glad we chose Palette Bistro for dinner. I got the palette salad and gluten free flat bread. Both very good! Our server was great too!

I love there is variety of food choices in the spot, particularly gluten-free options for my family members who need it. I have enjoyed a little bits from almost all of the food trucks and have not been disappointed by any of them. It often gets overcrowded and it's not incredibly accessible for folks with mobility hindrances but all in all I think it's a great option to have in this town.
